I have been producing & directing documentaries for national and international broadcasting. My first documentary – CHOR-POLICE – had several international partners like NHK (Japan), YLE(Finland), PBS(USA), RTSI(Switzerland) and premiered at IDFA(2008). I founded my production company – SÉANCE ENTERTAINMENT – in 2007, with a partner from my film institute. We have been striving to reach the world of films with a touch of our own, aiming for a synergy of passion, dedication and creative application. One of our first projects – FAIRYTALE DREAMS – was broadcast by NHK(Japan).
Recently, SÉANCE pioneered 8K documentary in India, in collaboration with NHK (Japan). We produced a series of 3 films (2019-2022) exploring the visual spectacles of different regions of India – Thar Desert of Rajasthan, Golden Fort of Jaisalmer and lush backwaters of Kerela. And another 3 film series on the cuisine of India (2022-23) – in Lucknow, Kashmir and Bengal.
I was a key member of the Documentary Resource Initiative – a not-for-profit organization promoting creative experimental independent actuality storytelling in India. DRI hosts an internationally acclaimed forum – DocedgeKolkata, Asian Forum for Documentary – where I worked as Head of Incubation & Training nurturing documentary projects through mentoring by international professionals. I was also Director of DRI’s travelling documentary workshop – Documentor, and mentored in the Let’sdoc Fellowship Programme for early-career filmmakers. Another major involvement was in initiating and organising the Dhaka DocLab – first of its kind international documentary forum in Bangladesh (started in 2017).

Currently, along with my PhD exploring possibilities of realist cinema today, I am developing feature scripts for my own films for entering into the independent filmmaking industry.

In 2022, my film, Oiza's Nexus won the award for the best Nigerian short film at Eko Fest. I have extensive experience working in Film, Television and Academia.
My career has involved the management of change within an increasingly technological driven media workplace. I can offer 20+ years experience in this sector with particular knowledge of supported development and management of student learning. Established through my association with photographic and video work on a freelance basis and my time spend teaching at local colleges and universities. Business development has been a particular interest and success, with experience of all types of video production provision. In 2014 I set up NOW East Durham ( www.*** ), a social enterprise community magazine to ensure job seekers in particular from the 18-24 year age range can engage with a creative “real world” experience to increase their job prospects. We offer local perspectives on issues promoting positive values via an online magazine, social media, and a print magazine coupled with an internet radio station. Our primary aim is to involve the 18-24 year old job seeking demographic, enabling their personal development, improving their employment/interpersonal skills and employment prospects. We hoped to achieve this in particular by increasing confidence and self esteem with removing barriers that would be traditionally by in place associated with the media industry. Diligent, organised and efficient in my work, I excel at multi-tasking and possess first class customer service skills. I enjoy prioritising my workload to consistently produce work of high accuracy with excellent attention to detail skills and a logical approach to problem solving. My professionalism and organised approach enable me to remain calm when working under pressure and I am enthusiastic and conscientious, with a natural ability to deal appropriately with people on all levels. I also enjoy a challenge and am quick to learn new tasks and take on board new ideas. I undertake to try and attend all the conferences held to ensure that I am fully aware of all the current and future debates that involve the work of the photographer.
My working experience in the world of professional media production complement this such as magazine production as an editor and also creating community radio stations these have given my a good contact book which I can draw on when needed. with respect to my work at local colleges I delivered A2 print production to 15 students with all gaining grades of B to A's this year. I can ensure an absolute professional delivery of all aspects of media both theory and practical that is grounded in my own success rate in the past. You can expect guidance and support that reflects the current curriculum and embraces potential changes that are about to take place across the education system.
Can tutor in most subjects. I'm a friendly tutor and love working with children. All children learn in different ways with different methods and i adapt my tutoring for each child to make them enjoy the classes and get the most out of the 60 minutes. I've taught ages from 4 all the way up to 24. I graduated from University of Leeds in May 2022, getting a 2:1 in Biology, and have worked as a supply teacher in schools all around Leeds since Janurary. I started my full time teaching position after completing a PGCE in Secondary Science, i work at Allerton Grange in Alwoodley. I enjoy teaching A level as well as IB, I specialise in Biology and really strive for my GCSE students to obtain 9’s in Triple Higher Biology. I teach all Triple and Combined curriculums as well as Spanish and French (as I am multi lingual). In my first year of teaching my Year 11 pupils jumped up 2 grades from a 6 in Higher Biology to an 8. I pride myself on being adaptive, compassionate but firm with my exam techniques.
I'm very understanding of different situations and backgrounds children can come from, and adjust teaching materials to fit each individual. I can help with homework and if they need extra help with worksheets i can find some for the right module and topic. I've lived abroad my whole life, so i have an open mind and i'm great at adaptating to new situations.
