Personal Trainer based in Bolton/Oldham. Over the years have managed to obtain a skillset, vast amount of knowledge and exerience that enabled me to coached individuals; helping them smash their goals whether it be weight loss, shed fat or sculpt the body. Individuals that are from all backgrounds and cultures. Starting off in the fitness industry as a young anorexic lad i was able to climb up the ladder until i achieved my ''dream body', happiness, mental contentment and satisfaction. My goal is to relate to my clients, supoort and change lives. I aspire to have a positive impact on lives through health and well being, whether a client wants to drop significant weight or add muscle or increase general fitness then i will ensure over a well devised program/plan that steps are taken to achieve their goal. A clients satisfaction satisfies me - just here to change lives!

Hello, my name is Megan and I am the founder of Mind Over Matter Fitness and Nutrition. My main role is currently as a personal trainer; however, my original training is as a nutritionist. I graduated in 2006, from Oxford Brookes University with a 1st class honours in Food Science and Nutrition. I have always had a passion for nutrition, but initial more as a chef, working in a small restaurant for 4 years. I graduated and worked for 6 years in the research field, specialising in Glycaemic Index, Insulinemic Index and Weight Loss. My experiences in research enable me to provide my clients with up-to-date and reliable scientific advice which is proven to work.
Although I have always been an active person I have never been someone that has ever been 'sporty'. I hated PE at school and would do anything to get out of it!! My interest in physical activity and exercise started approximately 17 years ago when my mum was diagnosed with osteoporosis, as such she was told to undertake weight bearing activity. So, in support mum I took up running. I can honestly say that for the first 3 weeks I hated it, I moaned constantly and dreaded every session. Suddenly week 4 seemed easier and I could start to see changes in my body shape, I think this was the moment I was addicted to exercise!
From these humble beginnings I have gone from running 10 mins three times a week to regularly competing in multi-day ultra-marathon events and strength training. I have always been an average runner, however, through sensible training and eating I am proud to say that in May 2017 I came 3rd Female in a 97 mile, 3-day ultra-marathon. This passion for my own training has helped me to become a personal trainer and share my passion for exercise and nutrition with my clients.
I love nothing more than to see people achieve their goals, have fun training and most importantly find a greater confidence in themselves and go on to achieve what they never believed possible.

Nigel H. has been a student of Shotokan Karate for over 30 years and studied with a number of Japanese and European Sensei (Instructor). He visited Japan and Okinawa in 2000 and briefly trained at the Japanese Karate Association HQ in Tokyo. He holds the grade of Yon Dan (4th Dan) and his Karate rank is registered in the UK and Japan. He is also a registered Yoga teacher and holds a Yoga Diploma with the Yoga Alliance. Nigel is an NHS Technical Instructor (Sports & Fitness) and registered with the Royal Association of Occupational Therapists. NFKC is a family club and welcomes beginners and experienced students of all abilities, aged 14 years and above. Nigel remains focused on supporting his students development and improving their understanding and technique. His ability to deliver traditional Shotokan Karate lessons is underpinned with a comprehensive understanding of physiology & anatomy, which was gained during 21 years served with the NHS. His life experience and understanding of human development is enhanced with a background of teaching physical exercise to those with limited abilities. Nigel has a keen diverse interest in teaching Karate to everyone and believes Karate compliments existing therapies and reduces stress, anxiety and depression.

I have competed in trained figure/physique competitions for the last 22 years and have managed to achieve a professional status within the the sport and went onto win British and World Titles. I am also a busy Mum and realise only too well the challenges we are all faced with when trying to achieve our fitness goals.
I have been succesfully running my own gym and Personal Training business now for 17 years. I have trained all abilities and ages from 13 to 78 years of age ranging from the terrified beginner to the competative bodybuilder and everything in between. I have my own personal training studio in Pembury, which has a full range of cardio and resistance equipment suitable for all goals from weight loss to fitness to strength training. It is really easily accessible. Just 10 minutes from Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge and about 1 minute off the Pembury A21 turn-off.
The studio is completely private, not like a gym with hundreds of other people using it. So you don’t have to worry about waiting for equipment or other people watching what you are doing like you do in a gym. But you get all the benefits of being trained with the variety of fitness equipment that a gym offers.

Abby is a certificated, black-belt, Martial Arts Instructor, specializing in a mixed discipline called Kajukenbo. This incorporates Karate, Judo, Jujutsu, Kenpo, and Boxing Chinese. Abby studied under 'Manuel Villaseñor' - Ninth Dan, Kajukenbo Grand-Master and official representative of the discipline in Europe. Abby was currently the only certificated Instructor in London.
