I am a fully qualified primary teacher currently in my fourth year of full time teaching with a Reception class. My specialities are in Early Years and Key Stage 1 and I also have a specialism in Special Educational Needs on my degree. I have lead phonics accross a year group and I see phonics and early literacy as my strongest subjects to teach. I teach in a multi sensory way and will make it as engaging and as personal as I possibly can. I will also try to bring children's interests into their learning. I have a lot of experience teaching children with a range of learning difficulties including having completed placements in special schools and had experience in a speech and language unit. I currently teach a class with a wide variety of special needs including autism, development delay, speech and language disorder and dyslexia.

Hi.
My name is Charanjit and I was born and raised in East London. I have worked extremely hard to establish myself through my education. I truly believed that education will open many doors and shapes the future. I studied at Loughborough university (ranked 4th in the UK) and then joined the Teach First graduate scheme where I studied part time at UCL. I have gained a Qualified Teachers Status as an outstanding teacher.
I have spent the last two years in a school environment and specialise in teaching KS2. My data continuously demonstrates my strong capabilities as a teacher, I am firm in my approach and produce results.

I have been working in schools since 2004, initially as a Teaching Assistant and then wanting to become a teacher, which I achieved in 2014. I am very passionate about working with parents, children and other adults that help move children forward, through developing their confidence to achieve this.
I believe that my skills and guidance, I can help children to reach their potential. I have worked with various children with different needs. I can help children to succeed and enjoy their learning and making it fun, but effective and tailored to their individual needs.
I am available to help with all primary subjects. I am experienced in Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics and Letters and Sounds Phonic schemes.
I can tailor a individual education plan to your child's needs and abilities.

I qualified in teaching primary school subjects and French at Homerton college Cambridge in 1976. I continued to teach in primary schools and went on to teach secondary French and German. After having a family I then qualified in TESOL to all age groups specialising in phonics and listening and speaking. Latterly, I have taught English and subject support to International students at a girl,s boarding school St George' s school, Ascot. I am keen to offer support to the National Tutoring program to help children who have missed out on their education due to lockdown. I am especially interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant and helping in teaching reading, writing and primary and GCSE French.

Having recently completed my PGCE in Primary Education and gaining my QTS; my knowledge of the curriculum, teaching strategies, and methods and my experience puts me in great stead to be an excellent, motivating, thorough and positive tutor for children at the primary www.*** , I have an excellent understanding of the 7+ exams and can focus my teaching towards any areas of learning towards www.*** have many strategies for making learning accessible for children, being dyslexic myself, I understand the different difficulties and struggles children can have in school and ways to overcome barriers to www.*** have a passion for education and enjoy making learning fun and engaging. My specialism is computing and I, therefore, love to use computing as a cross-curricular tool in www.*** , Astronomy is a strong passion of mine and something I am keen to spark and promote in children where it can lead to many interesting thoughts and questions and relates to so many schemes of www.*** believe in learning from one's environment and exploring the world around us and therefore ensure that when I teach the curriculum, I make the learning experience as enjoyable, relevant, and accessible as possible.
My first experience in teaching was working in conductive education, with children with cerebral palsy. Further, I worked as a teaching assistant at a large school, working with years 1, 2 and 5. In the mornings I worked with whole classes and in the afternoon I ran group or 1-1 sessions with children that needed extra support, such as children with special educational needs. Additionally, I ran an Astronomy club for year 2 and year 5. I planned, taught, and assessed each child in my class and shared my passion and enthusiasm for the subject with www.*** have since completed a PGCE in primary education at the Institute of Education at University College London (UCL). During my placement, I worked primarily with a year 5 class, planning, teaching, and assessing up to 80% of the timetable. On this placement, I taught consecutive lessons in year 1 and 2 also, mostly focusing on Phonics and www.*** specialism is Computing and I ran a Computing project with my year 5 class on this placement, collecting and subsequently presenting my findings to my colleagues at UCL. This project investigated the ways in which Computing can be used to promote cross-curricular learning and was thoroughly enjoyable, successful, and www.*** was also lucky enough to gain valuable experience on placement at Brooklyn New School in New York, where I taught year 2. My main focus at this school was Literacy and Numeracy, as well as Philosophy for Children (which is now on the National Curriculum) and I have a broad and well-rounded knowledge of a variety of teaching strategies and www.*** , I run a YouTube channel providing lessons in Astronomy for children and adult beginners. I plan and prepare the lessons most relevant and accessible to children, where it can link to the national curriculum.
I would love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for Astronomy with adults, as well as children.
