Having recently completed my PGCE in Primary Education and gaining my QTS; my knowledge of the curriculum, teaching strategies, and methods and my experience puts me in great stead to be an excellent, motivating, thorough and positive tutor for children at the primary level. My first experience in teaching was working in conductive education, with children with cerebral palsy. Further, I worked as a teaching assistant at a large school, working with years 1, 2 and 5. In the mornings I worked with whole classes and in the afternoon I ran group or 1-1 sessions with children that needed extra support, such as children with special educational needs. Additionally, I ran an Astronomy club for year 2 and year 5. I planned, taught, and assessed each child in my class and shared my passion and enthusiasm for the subject with them. I would love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for Astronomy with adults, as well as children. |
