Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

I hold a 1-on-1 tutoring session online at a time. I normally do this for an hour per student but this can vary if you would like to book me in for longer. For convenience sake, I tend to do tutoring sessions on the weekends so as to make it easier for students that go to school on weekdays and for myself. I've recently finished my GCSE's and am currently doing my A-Levels (also in similar core subjects), so I am aware of the new www.*** ;
My tutoring experience is that of what it was in Lockdown. I have a few students, one of which is an adult taking the GCSE exam. I am still young and I know that others probably won't prefer me as much, but I am here to help with the experience that I have. Nice to meet www.*** ;
Please give me a call if you're interested

Bio
Hey! I m Dan. I m a young and passionate mathematician, with a joint math degree from Imperial College London and MIT.
During high school I went to Maths Olympiads and now I am studying for a PhD. I like explaining maths, talking about maths or anything related to www.*** I also like teaching. It s something that I think I can make a difference in.
I strongly believe teaching should be more like a guided self-education process. For an extensive list of past tutoring experience, please consult the 'Teaching Experience' section.
I usually do sessions of 1. 5 to 2 hours. I feel this is a good duration to accumulate knowledge and not get too tired. I usually prepare exercise ahead of the session to consolidate the topic we discuss. I am looking forward to teach for any of these subjects, as well as for any other similar international qualifications/ university admission tests/maths university www.*** Experience
2 years of private tutoring in London. My most relevant teaching experience is:
-GCSE and IGCSE (4 months)-A Levels -Pure and further pure (all modules), S1,S2 (1 year)-American/ International syllabus (9 months)-IB Further Math (5 months-online)-Pearson Functional Math Test (only a few sessions, before exam)-Olympiad (2 months, over the summer)-Oxford & Imperial admission test- MAT (privately and during the summer of 2020 via Imperial)-University (about 10-20 sessions, mainly in person with Maths/CS majors from Imperial, UCL,Birkbeck and online with a Maths and Music undergraduate from Leeds)
First year tutor at Imperial College London (9 months)I feel my ability of teaching is best reflected at highscool, university admission tests / university level. I have an excellent understanding of Mathematics (supported by my results at Imperial College, where I scored in top 5%), which allows to me draw connections between fields and explain concepts in easier terms. I am positive this helps me instill a sense of confidence in my tutees.
Nevertheless, I have extensive experience tutoring at other levels too and I always try to match individual needs.

A former full time fully qualified secondary school teacher with extensive experience teaching privately, at top London secondary schools and at university level lasting over 10 years. I have a true passion for the subject which is why I gave up research to share the true beauty of the subject with younger minds.
I rely heavily on helping children visualise problems, using computerised simulations if necessary. I will always give a child the chance to work out a problem them themselves starting with simple examples and building on them.
When the student has understood a problem I will generally focus on teaching them how to express their ideas verbally as well as numerically.
My previous teaching experience includes
Private tutor 2002-present, mostly 11+ and GCSE preparation
Teaching Assistant (various courses) Warwick University 2000-2003
Small Group Supervisor 2001-2003 Warwick University (short classes with 4 students)

Classroom Teacher, Highgate School, North London 2007-2008
Classroom Teacher, Latymer Upper School, West London 2008-2015

I am an experienced mathematics educator, and I am passionate about instilling an understanding of mathematics in all my students. The belief that every student can surpass their perceived potential has always been a backbone of my teaching practice. I am aware that the same approach doesn’t work for every student, so I develop diverse strategies to maximise learning for all students. I look forward to sharing my joy for mathematics with all my students, whether it be in class or during tutoring sessions.

My name is Kat, I completed my BSc Biochemistry at Imperial College London and MSc at the London School of Economics. I have a wide range of hobbies which include music and art. My indulgence in my hobbies, however, did not prevent me from distinguishing myself academically. I want my students to understand and learn in an efficient albeit enjoyable www.*** , Chemistry, MathsI enjoy teaching and have been a tutor for 7+ years. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I care about students, and I wish that they could learn to love Science and Maths as I do. To achieve the high goals I set for my students, I require the cooperation of the student and a change in attitude. I believe that everyone is capable of getting an A*/9 in any subject, as long as they are dedicated to achieving that www.*** ;I am very experienced in boosting exam grades and there are numerous success www.*** ;
Every student is different, as such, I tailor my teaching methods to each individual student. I put emphasis on encouraging students, cultivating their natural interest and understanding of the subjects they chose to take. I have found this approach to be more effective in building confidence in students, motivating them, and in realizing their full potential - all of which are key to exam success.
