Hello! I am a medical student who's looking to begin tutoring. I have experience with working with younger people as I am a mentor with Target Medicine wherein I help 16-18 year olds with their applications to medical school. I am also a volunteer with Education for Choice UCL, in which I go to schools around London and provide workshops on abortion and contraception.
I tutor in Psychology (up to A-Level), Chemistry and Biology (up to GSCE level), English and Maths (primary level to KS3)
The first session is free so your child can see whether I'm the right fit for them. My start date for taking on students is the beginning of June.
If you have any questions or would like further information, don't hesitate to get in contact with me, I reply quickly :)

I am patient, enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable and have developed a sound rapport with my students. I have come to teaching as a career changer later in life, having worked in the PR/journalism industry for a number of years, which has held me in good stead and provides life experience outside the classroom and curriculum. You will find me to be an affable, good-humoured and dedicated tutor with an engaging manner and a creative and diligent approach to planning tasks and lessons.

Hi, i'm Mariyam. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I studied to teach children of a primary school age for 3 years at a great university. I have been a qualified teacher since I was 21 and have 8 years in total of teaching experience, including my training years.
Feel free to enquire about other primary school subjects, including History, Geography and RE.
The best part of educating is knowing you're making a difference to a child's learning and helping to set them up for a successful future.

Plashet was where I laid the foundation for my tutoring journey, excelling in my GCSEs with grades ranging from 5 to 9 and earning medals for my dedication to helping fellow students. Becoming a year head in secondary years honed my communication skills and taught me the value of listening to others' perspectives to improve the school environment. Tutoring kids at home further fueled my passion for education, while my time at Caterham High School, scoring a distinction in my BTEC course, allowed me to share my knowledge and tips with peers, helping many succeed. This diverse experience has shaped my approach to tutoring, emphasizing friendly tasks and engaging methods to make learning enjoyable and effective for young learners.
