I am a freelance guitarist based in London, and have just finished studying a BA(hons) Degree in Music Industry Practice at the Academy of contemporary music (ACM). I've played many gigs, from small scale productions, to corporate functions and events. I have also worked with numerous artists in studio and live settings, playing in venues up and down the country. With this first-hand industry experience I can provide the most relevant and practical skills to any of my music students.
I cater my lessons to each of my students! From learning songs via ear, to understanding music theory and Instrument technique, I believe guitar playing should be a fun and gratifying. So it is my job as a tutor to pursue whichever avenue of music the student wants to delve into! Keen to explore, eager to challenge.
I have worked professionally as an actor, a playwright and as a singer-songwriter for the past five years, since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2016. Last year I wrote, composed and starred in a new original musical which is being revived again this year. Later, in the summer, I will play my first festival set as a solo singer-songwriter. I have been playing guitar, keyboards and writing songs for over ten years. My first album and tour as a singer-songwriter are due next year.
At school, I received 8 grade 1 (the highest possible grade) Standard Grade Awards (equivalent of GCSEs). I then received 5 grade A (the highest possible grade) Higher Awards (equivalent of A Levels), as well as receiving Best In School Awards for English and History, I received Certificates of Merit for the three other subjects: Music, French and Maths.
I have worked as a Nanny, teaching instruments to under 10s, and have extensive experience teaching drama school auditionees of all ages, students having gone on to earn places in RADA, Guildhall, LAMDA, Central and many others.

I offer lessons in: - Folk/Pop/Rock Violin - Logic/Ableton Music Production - Songwriting, Composition, and Film Scoring I also offer support with: - Music Theory and Music Reading - GCSE, A Level and BTEC music/music technology exam VIOLIN LESSONS: My violin lessons are for anyone, no matter how young or old, who wants to learn to play the violin within the context of folk, pop, or rock. We will look at classical violin technique to ensure safety whilst playing, as well as how to read music and music theory. We will look at folk, pop, or rock repertoire, and at the techniques that can be used to make these genres come alive on the violin. MUSIC PRODUCTION LESSONS: At its simplest, music production is the careful creative process of capturing and showcasing the raw recordings of a track, arranging them in the sonic sphere in such a way that a listener can truly connect with the artist's intention. More complexly, it can build an intriguing world of sound around the core songwriting/compositional elements. I teach my students how to use music production software and how to put sounds together, leading through to creating fully recorded, produced, mixed and mastered music projects. COMPOSITION/SONGWRITING/FILM SCORING LESSONS: Have you ever wanted to write your own pieces of music? Are you looking for feedback on your work? My lessons are for anyone who wants to study the art of songwriting, composition, or film scoring. Sessions will be presented in a supportive way through constructive discussion, practical tasks, worksheets, and writing sessions.

I am an experienced tutor with 10+ years of hands-on professional and academic music experience. The bespoke and personalised music classes that I offer can benefit students of all levels and ages, whatever your goals and ambitions are. Hi. My name is Tarquin www.*** I teach an assortment of musical threads, mainly piano and theory, and also in composition, be it songwriting or film soundtracks. I am a flexible teacher, in that I try to meet the learner wherever they are at, and seek to teach them in a way that suits their learning style. My background is both classroom teaching and ono-to-one peripatetic and I have taught throughout all Key Stages and all abilities. I am also well versed in Music Technology (and have taught it) which I use to create soundtracks, and ambient pieces.
I am a believer in rewarding effort and thus discipline is a firm asset in my students. I am both congenial and engaging as a tutor. My sense of humour is unique and perhaps it is why I love Music full stop!

Hi - I'm Nic S. and I've dedicated most of my life to music. If you're passionate about music, I'd really love to help you improve your skills, and develop your creativity. My first instrument (Which I've studied to degree level) is guitar, and I consider this instrument my 'Home base'. I am Marty, I am the Owner/Director and one of the tutors at Double M Studios.
I decided to launch DMS due to the passion I have for music and to make it a platform to be able to offer opportunities to students and adult learners that they may not be able to get anywhere else.
Music has been part of my life for a very long time. I was lucky enough to have two of the most amazing guitar tutors that anybody could have asked for. One of which became a very big inspiration for what I am doing now.
