I am a qualified teacher based in Oxford with a first class master's in physics from Cambridge University and a PGCE from Oxford University. I have eight years of experience as a teacher and I am enhanced DBS checked. I am currently offering a free taster lesson for students in the UK.
Combining a deep understanding of my subject with a wealth of teaching experience, I love helping students understand their subject, succeed in it, and enjoy it - not only excelling in exams, but mastering and enjoying the subject as well. By developing a thorough understanding of their subject as well as familiarity with exam questions and exam technique, I aim to help students grasp their subject in a way that makes sense to them, enabling both enjoyment and success in their studies.
I offer bespoke online physics, maths, further maths, and chemistry tuition tailored to the needs of my students. I can do A-level, GCSE, and KS3, and I am also able to offer training for the maths and physics olympiads. Typical lessons involve a mixture of exam questions coaching combined with interactive teaching on areas students find difficult, however I am happy to adjust my approach to students’ needs.
I have had huge success with all of my online students, exceeding their predictions by 2 grades and others choosing to take the language for A level following my GCSE tutoring, after previously not feeling brave enough to.

Hi there!
My name is Valentine, and I'm a French violinist currently based in Abingdon (Oxfordshire), England.
I studied violin for six years at the Conservatory of Music in Nîmes, in the South of France, and passed my ABRSM Grade 8 Violin Performance exam. Over the past 2 years, I've had the opportunity to perform with various orchestras, including the Penang Symphony Orchestra in Malaysia (South East Asia), where I lived for nine months. I've also had the privilege of performing at private events, such as weddings, religious ceremonies, and birthdays. These experiences have enhanced my teamwork skills, taught me effective practice techniques, and deepened my passion for sharing music and bringing joy to others.
Now, I love sharing this experience with students of all ages and backgrounds, helping them grow and develop as musicians while ensuring they enjoy their time with the violin! I’ve been teaching violin privately for about two years to beginner and intermediate students of all ages, both online and in person. Additionally, I taught at a private school in Bouillargues, South of France, during the 2022/2023 academic year. I’m dynamic, passionate, caring, and love helping others make progress while having fun with their instrument.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a PGDE in Secondary English from The University of Edinburgh. I have extensive experience working with young people in a variety of educational settings, including as a teaching assistant in mainstream secondary schools, SEN schools, and primary schools. I’ve also taught English as a foreign language in Germany.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have two years of online tutoring experience, supporting students from primary to secondary levels. I tutor primary level, GCSE, A-Level, and the Scottish curriculum (BGE, National 5, Highers, and Advanced Highers). I also offer 11+ preparation.

I'm also an experienced film journalist having written articles for the past 15 years, predominantly at the popular UK film site, Flickering Myth. Having also studied film at University I am well versed in film theory and can help those wishing to study film to expand their horizons.

Learning a subject is much easier if you're enthusiastic about it, and I can't imagine a more exciting area of law than intellectual property. I have helped dozens of students not only pass their exams but become real enthusiasts for the subject - and many of them are now working in the area. As well as private tuition, I was module leader for IP at Nottingham Law School part-time and I have taught at a number of other universities.
