Norwal Limited provides training courses from our base in Rhiwlas, near Bangor in Gwynedd, North Wales. You may have some questions that you would like to ask before making a booking. Before you contact us directly, have you checked our list of frequently asked questions? Most of our first aid training courses and all of our pre-hospital emergency care (first response emergency care - FREC) training courses, workplace health and safety courses and education and training courses are certified by Qualsafe Awards, an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. We will always provide regulated certification if the course is advertised as such - beware other providers who advertise a regulated course and then provide their own 'in-house' certification. For certain courses, we can accept Enhanced Learning Credits (approved provider number 9849). We schedule open courses throughout the year for our most popular qualifications. We are able to provide a much wider range of courses for organisations that need a group of delegates trained. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality courses. We achieve this primarily by having very well qualified and experienced trainers. For example, our prehospital care courses (such as the QA Level 3 and 4 Certificates in First Response Emergency Care) are delivered by a currently serving, frontline NHS senior paramedic who teaches on the BSc Paramedic Science course and mentors student paramedics. Our first aid trainers have practised as first aiders in the workplace and have many years of experience in teaching others. Many also have a background in teaching the Royal Life Saving Society UK's lifeguarding and lifesaving courses. We enjoy outdoor activities, in the mountains or on the water, and know what it is like to provide emergency care in challenging environments. All of our trainers are up-to-date with current protocols and practices, something we find lacking in courses provided by other companies. Our education and training courses (such as the QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training) are taught by a qualified teacher with substantial experience of leading inspections of schools and training providers. Combining the knowledge gained through post-graduate study with thirty years of practical experience of teaching and training and thousands of lesson observations as an inspector, he is well placed to guide and support those new to the joys and responsibilities of education and training. RYA courses, such as the marine radio short range certificate and RYA first aid certificate, are taught by personnel with years of operational command experience in search and rescue. We also take pride in providing excellent value for money. You will notice that we try our hardest to price our courses competitively. Where possible, we aim to charge the lowest price in the local market. However, we will not compromise on quality, even if this means charging a higher price. We attract great trainers because we pay them a rate that reflects their experience and professional skills. We also ensure that we comprehensively meet or exceed all of the training facilities and equipment requirements set by the awarding organisations. Take our word for it, not all training centres are as diligent! We are a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Recognised Training Centre offering a range of their shorebased navigation and safety courses and qualifications. Our land-based navigation qualifications are issued by the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS). We also provide Rescue Emergency Care (REC) first aid qualifications, Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) occupational water safety and rescue qualifications and accredited health and safety training to the standards set by the Design and Technology Association (DATA). |
