Oliver D. is an interdisciplinary (psycholinguistics) PGR at Manchester Metropolitan University. His PhD research examines the composite language and communication phenomena of schizophrenia, as relative to figurative language processing, using experimental psycholinguistic methods; his master's dissertation focused on paralinguistics: blended displays (i. e. complex facial expressions) of emotion; and his bachelor's took the form of a stylistics combined honours (i. e. linguistics with creative writing). His vocational experience includes a substantive clinical education post within NHS psychiatric services—specifically, as an interpersonal communications tutor; in parallel, he has provided consultancy services since 2011.
