I am a newly-qualified doctor and have a total of 5 years of tutoring experience, with both tutoring agencies and in private tuition. I have taught GCSE and A level students across a variety of exam boards, namely Edexcel, AQA, OCR and JWEC. My students have gone to excel in their chosen subjects with significantly improved results.
As a tutor I use a webcam via Skype or Zoom to communicate with my students and a virtual whiteboard to write and explain as I go along. As part of my teaching many of my students have given me positive feedback of how homework and lectures aid and reinforce their learning outside tuition classes.
I usually correct the homework and highlight the corrections before starting a new subject material to ensure my students feel confident that they have mastered a topic before moving ahead. I also make PowerPoint lecture slides and handouts for my students which I am always more than happy to email.After covering the syllabus content, I usually leave ample time to discuss past exam paper questions and how to answer them.
The core principle of my lessons is to first and foremost lay a foundation for the subject material for my students and then to build up the complexity. I highly encourage understanding scientific principles rather than rote memorisation to my students.
I believe learning should be tailored to every students’ individual needs and requirements and they should enjoy the learning material.

Hi! I am Harpreet, a third year medical student. I have a passion for teaching and is one of the reasons I am doing an extra degree in medical education next year before returning to complete years 4/5. I want to work to ensure students are reaching their full potential and understand through my own previous mentoring that this isn't always in a large class. I have accumulated 9A*s, 3As, 1B at GCSE and 3A*s and 1A at A levels. I have a wealth of my own experiences and tips to offer for any stage of life that you may be at, and can offer plenty of advice with regards to university! I am open to whatever you guys need from my lessons and if you don't understand something, I will make sure you do by the end! Also being a younger tutor provides me with the benefits of having recently undertaken many of the exams that you all will be ultimately preparing for, so I have relevant and up to date knowledge on what your curriculum is. Any questions are welcome, just drop me a message :)
Having spent nine very happy years at a top independent girls' school, most recently as Acting Head of Biology, my husband, baby daughter and I have recently moved to Shropshire. I am passionate about Biology, and whilst enjoying a temporary break from school life, I am keen to pursue tutoring, to continue to help students to develop their understanding of the subject and achieve their goals.
I have significant experience teaching biology at Key Stage 3, GCSE, iGCSE, IB and A Level (Edexcel and AQA), and previous work as an A Level examiner has given me greater insight into the assessment system. I am confident that I can enable any student to improve their depth of understanding, master examination technique, and achieve their full potential. I am happy to provide homework resources for students to complete prior to the tutoring session, and will be flexible to ensure that the teaching approach is best suited to the individual.
I also have extensive experience supporting medicine and dentistry applicants. My position as ‘MDV Coordinator’ included mentoring prospective medics and dentists, running Medical Society, checking personal statements, delivering aptitude test preparation classes and conducting mock interviews. During my time in the role, I oversaw a significant increase in the interview and offer rates for medicine, and I am happy to offer a range of support in this area. It could be a weekly mentoring session, a one off personal statement review or mock interview, or anything in between, to suit the student's needs.
The times I have offered for tutoring are times when I know I can offer you my undivided attention, though the online platform Google Meet. I am free at almost any other time in the week, but would need to keep an eye on my 10 month old daughter (she's usually playing happily, or possibly even sleeping). I am happy to tutor at these times, and would reduce my fee by £5 per hour. Additionally, as my husband works variable days it may be that I can be free without my daughter on another week day, so just get in touch if you would like to book a session but can't see a suitable time that works for www.*** ;
I am a dedicated, hard-working professional, and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for Biology through turoring.
I have worked for Kumon tutors, Burgess centre for KS2 and KS3 preparation since the age of 16 and loved seeing how group tuition brought on competitiveness. It allowed me to understand how different pupils learn using different methods.
I have additionally taught GCSE and A-Level students on TutorFul and TutorHunt since I started medical school. 100% of my students have achieved their top grades and 90% of my students have gotten into their top medical school.
During my third year of university, I have worked with St Georges’ University to aid medical school interviews and ran interview crash courses.
Teaching is my passion and I am currently taking a year out to complete a course in medical education!
I am a doctor, in my foundation year, with four years of experience tutoring medical students. I also have experience teaching high school/A-level students in STEM classes. All lessons are designed according to the needs of the students.
