I am a well qualified and experienced teacher of Modern Foreign & Classical Languages with over 30 years experience teaching in local State and Independent Schools and in adult and further education colleges. I have taught French, German, Spanish, Italian, Classics and Latin from Key Stage 3 through to A- Level and am a GCSE examiner for the Pearson Edexcel exam board. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
In my lessons, my goal is to teach you, with fun, humour and encouragement, how to use language confidently in listening, speaking, reading and writing and of course backing this up with a very sound knowledge of those building blocks called grammar. In Latin, the grammar based language study is backed up with a fun and detailed look at the historical period and the set texts. We all have differing learning needs and goals which are worked out well in advance of the first lesson so that the approach is tailor made for you so that you ultimately find the learning experience a rewarding and enjoyable one. When teaching , I use my experience of being an examiner to show you what the exam paper is really asking for and how you can ensure you get the marks and ,quite easily, exceed target. Just ask any of my former pupils! I am very friendly, patient and approachable, always encouraging with a strong belief that bit by bit you will succeed in whichever goal you have made for yourself?
I am really looking forward to meeting you all soon and helping you with your studies.

I have over 8 years experience in teaching the primary age range in the state education sector.
I am extremely knowledgeable in the National curriculum, planning, delivering and assessing your child's ability. I will take an initial assessment to see where they are in their learning - their strengths and areas they need to develop and create a personalised program for them to progress at that right speed for them as an individual.
I have used many different programs in my career such as Mastery maths, White Rose maths, FFT phonics and Little Wandle as well as creating my own activities
I enjoy making lessons creative and with real life contexts so that the children can see the purpose for their learning ready for when they enter the adult world. I like to keep the lessons at a good pace to maximise their concentration and focus. A good light hearted sense of humor with positive encouragement is the approach I find works best for when I tutor to provide the child with self-esteem and confidence in themselves.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, my name is Freya and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography. I received a Grade 8 in GCSE biology and an A* throughout A-Level biology. I also received a Grade 9 in GCSE mathematics and an A in A-Level maths. I am very confident in these two subjects and would be delighted to welcome any new students. I believe all students should achieve their full potential and I can help to do that by helping with exam techniques, tips, information and practice questions :)

In recent years there has been a huge growth in the number of agencies offering maths tuition at very competitive rates. Many tutors are university students or recent graduates and in need of some extra cash. They may have excellent subject knowledge and exam technique but equally important is whether they are able to communicate that knowledge to younger students.
Academic excellence does not necessarily make you a good teacher- explanative skills are far more important. I became really good at tutoring maths after many years of developing these skills. Almost a decade later, I am able to understand the individual needs of each student and provide bespoke online maths tuition that meets their requirements- whether it's KS3, GCSE or A-level maths tutoring.
So, whether you are gearing up for an upcoming exam, seeking to master a challenging topic, or simply looking to deepen your mathematical knowledge, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

I'm enthusiastic about science and have a specific interest in Astrophysics. I have a PhD in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Southampton.
To fund my PhD, I received a Mayflower scholarship, which required me to teach 25% of my time there. I assisted teaching of several different courses ranging from first to fourth year physics including maths, laboratories, electromagnetism etc.
I also helped to mark problem sheets, exams, course work as well as presentations. Moreover, I was a tutor and had regular tutorials with my tutees. I guided them academically whilst also making sure that they were settling in well into university life.
As part of my teaching experience at university, I have taught students with a range of abilities and from different cultural backgrounds, including non-native speakers.
I am experienced online tutor in Maths and Science. Sessions are held via Zoom and I use a writing tablet to go through ideas, concepts and calculations. I always adapt the content of my sessions to suit the different exam boards and curricula.
One-to-one and group sessions as well as online lessons available.
I understand that each person has a different learning style and I adapt my tutoring sessions to reflect this. I'm friendly and personable and aim to put every student at ease because learning shouldn't be stressful. I'm happy to teach Science and Maths for all age groups ranging from primary school to A-levels or equivalent and Physics up to undergraduate level. I'm also happy to teach German for all age groups as I'm a native speaker.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, volunteer at a local preschool group and have three children of my own.

I have been teaching as a private tutor in the private education sector independently and through agencies across Hampshire for over fifteen years. I tutor full time and this is my business and full time career. Therefore, unlike many teachers who do a few private lessons here and there, I am fully committed and can spend all of my time preparing lessons and focusing on just my private students. I have taught children who are being home schooled, pupils who need some one to one tuition, group tuition, helped to run successful revision courses through an agency and prepared pupils for exams such as Common Entrance, GCSE's and SAT's (all of which I have had successful results with and have kept a record of.)
I have experience of working with several learning difficulties as well as behavioural problems.
I have taught in several schools across Hampshire and other areas of the country.
I am extremely familiar with The National Curriculum, different syllabuses and the variety of examination boards that schools use #/k#and stick to following these.
I have a firm, fun but fair approach to tuition and encourage pupils to work to the best of their ability through praise and reward. I always follow up lessons with advise on what areas need to be improved upon, followed by a positive and encouraging remark about the pupil's work so that confidence is not lost.
I enjoy providing parent's with continual progress reports after each session and offer advise as and when it is needed. I am happy to provide references on request.
I always offer an initial assessment before sessions commence so that I can get a general idea of how I can help the student, and for the student to see whether they like my teaching style. After the assessment, lessons are carefully planned and prepared to meet each individual's needs/requirements. Continual support via e mail is offered (especially for those special cases like exam times, which as we all know can be very stressful for the parent and the student.)

have been in my present post for seven years. During this time I have gained a wealth of experience across the school. I have been instrumental in developing the school’s sport and physical education over this period. I have created a curriculum which allows pupils to be excited and enriched, this includes a physical education programme, where pupils can be immersed with concepts and the use of modern technology to develop technical skills. They are encouraged to improve skills by fun, allowing them to have a stimulating experience. All lessons during the week are planned with many cross-curricular links across the school.

I'm an acting coach and theatre director based in Salisbury with over 15 years experience in theatre. I have trained in the UK and USA (Bristol Old Vic, CSSD and Actors Temple London) (SITI Company New York and The Acting Corps LA).
I love working with actors, exploring scripts and developing characters. Having initially trained as an actor, I have a great respect for the process. I have been working with pre-professional actors for around 10 years and supported many on successful application to drama school.
My training lies in Michael Chekhov, Meisner, Viewpoints and Suzuki and have a physical approach to text (Stella Adler). I bring a range of skills and approaches to the text, that can help unlock scenes, and support you on your journey. However, as a director and teacher I am able to adapt to the individual needs of the actor.

Hello!
My name is Ronja and I did my A levels in biology, chemistry and physics not long ago. So I know exactly how hard they can be to master, but that's why I'd love to help you understand them better! I have a passion for science and will be doing my degree in it, and got A*s in both subjects, so I have a strong knowledge in both and have tutored my friends and others before on both as well. I'm happy to go over anything from gcse chemistry, biology and physics or a level chemistry and physics too, and to cater the lessons to your needs!

I have 2 years experience working in schools, both primary and secondary, as a teaching assistant, working with groups of children or 1:1, with a variety of ages and abilities. I am currently studying for an English degree at university but I have an A* in English Literature and Language A Level. I also have experience in teaching children with SEND needs. I like to make my lessons as accessible as possible. If you have any requirements or ideas to make our lessons comfortable and manageable for you please don’t hesitate to inform me! I am more than happy to tailor my teaching style to whatever needs you may have. I also like to make my lessons fun! I would love to hear about your interests outside of learning so that I can incorporate these into our lessons. English can seem like a very daunting subject, however my teaching style takes this into account. I like to base my lessons around 1 key concept , which could be as small or as big as we see fit! We will then break that concept down and spend as much time on it as it takes for you to have a full and clear understanding. This will hopefully make it a little less overwhelming and means you can learn in smaller, more manageable chunks. I believe everyone has the ability to excel in English. Sometimes we all just need a little extra push in that direction, and that’s what I’m here for!
