I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some questions in advance. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve. Hi, my name is Freya and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography. I received a Grade 8 in GCSE biology and an A* throughout A-Level biology. I'm enthusiastic about science and have a specific interest in Astrophysics. I have a PhD in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Southampton.
To fund my PhD, I received a Mayflower scholarship, which required me to teach 25% of my time there. I assisted teaching of several different courses ranging from first to fourth year physics including maths, laboratories, electromagnetism etc.
I also helped to mark problem sheets, exams, course work as well as presentations. Moreover, I was a tutor and had regular tutorials with my tutees. I guided them academically whilst also making sure that they were settling in well into university life.
