Maths tutor, with 20 years of tutoring experience. I try to find the best teaching techniques the students. Each student has is own way to learn. I pick the most efficient way to teach.
I look to enable each student to achieve what they are aiming for - whether it be the top grade at A level, GCSE or entrance to a Private Selective School at 7+, 11+ or 13+ level for the Common Entrance Examinations or else to a Grammar School of their choice or to brush up their level in English or Maths.
I am very positive in my outlook and always look to bring the best out of each student I teach. I have enabled many children to achieve their aims in over 10 years of tutoring experience.
I also run a revision course programme specialising in GCSE and A level/ IB for all subjects from Year 10 onwards.

I am enthusiastic, patient and caring. I enjoy passing on knowledge when teaching young people and guiding them to succeed in their studies by encompassing factors which foster their curiosity. Hello and thanks for taking the time to browse my profile. I am available to tutor up to any level of Spanish or Portuguese, as well as up to GCSE level French or Maths.
Teaching Experience:
I`m an experienced classroom teacher available for Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Maths tuition. I studied BSc Accounting with Spanish before taking my PGCE, and I have experience of tutoring English to Spanish schoolchildren as a language assistant, and also of tutoring English to individuals privately in their own homes. I am now a full time teacher of Spanish, French and Portuguese in one of the top boarding schools in England, having previously worked in an "outstanding" secondary school, where I tutored children (one-to-one) in Maths after school, after having completed a short course in one-to-one tutoring provided by Hertfordshire LEA. I have also completed an MEd in Educational Psychology, as well as the CCRS qualification.

Knowing Portuguese is an asset in today's globalized world, particularly in the labor market. In recent years, the Portuguese language has emerged globally as a language of business, science and culture and its importance has been highlighted in the media and in scientific studies of global impact.
I started my professional life as a drama teacher because I had completed the course of training actors at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema of the National Conservatory of Lisbon. Later, I was a teacher of French and Portuguese in several preparatory and secondary schools in Lisbon. I was a professor at the University of the Azores as well where I taught subjects in the area of Sociology. Finally, I returned to primary and secondary education and I have been teaching Portuguese, History and Geography of Portugal. As I have lived in an area where there are many foreigners, I have also helped them to learn Portuguese.
