Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

I pride myself on my ability to identify and solve students' difficulties, helping them to 'get unstuck' and teaching them the skills they need to become independent and enthusiastic learners. No matter your starting point, I can meet you where you are at and get you where you want to be. I am used to using a variety of approaches depending on class size (individual or small group), student age, and the goals of the student. My focus is on helping my students to understand the learning process, so that they can ask the right questions and take charge of their own learning. I will provide you with resources and guidance to help you practise independently so that you can build on the progress you make in your lessons with me. I have a thorough knowledge of several exam syllabuses and can teach you the techniques you need to do well in exams, but I also want to help you set your own targets and have fun with your learning!

I am a GCSE student currently taking my examinations with predictions of all 8/9s. After lots of hardwork and determination, I have been able to achieve highly in all GCSE subjects on offer and I believe that as a young teacher, students will feel more comfortable learning with likeminded people. Although it may seem easy, GCSE's and studying is hard! I for one found subjects like Maths and Science very difficult and spent hours practicing and perfecting the subjects. Now, I teach my friends and family all of the subjects I have learnt for GCSE and I know all of the tips and tricks for revision and effective studying. I will make lessons fun and interactive ensuring students are prepared for whatever exam they are taking or for any help in subjects they are struggling with.
I have just taken my Music GCSE exam with a predicted result of grade 8/9. I achieved 100% in my performance and composition and feel teaching is the right next step. I have a distinction in Grade 8 acoustic guitar and have achieved my Grade 5 music theory. I enjoy playing electric/acoustic guitar and singing as well as improvising on guitar! I have performed in countless venues solo, within a Rock band, in choirs, in orchestras and in musical theatre shows. Although I started learning with an acoustic guitar at the age of 7, I have now got two electric guitars, a keyboard, microphones and a ukulele! I personally adore Pop, Rock, Britpop and Jazz music and my favourite artists include Oasis, Chappell Roan, Fontaines DC, Arctic Monkeys, The Cranberries, Billie Eilish, Amy Whinehouse as well as many more!
On the first lesson, I will work out a plan personalised to the student and their aims and goals. For all guitar students, we will cover fun songs to play on guitar with strummed chords and different plucking techniques including any songs the student would prefer to learn! Within one lesson, we will also go over basic scales needed for theory and improvisation and we will work from the RGT grade music books or the Rock School music books learning the songs needed for acoustic classical guitar/ acoustic guitar performance grades. The student will be able to learn how to play the guitar songs needed for grades even if they don't wish to take them or, they can have the option just to learn any songs they would like for a fun experience. The student will also learn the parts of the guitar and begin to learn all the notes of the fretboard for sight reading. Additionally, I will ensure the student is able to read chords and tabs for guitar as well as basic notation that can be helpful for theory and other instruments. The student will have the ability to play a wide variety of techniques including Hammer-on, bends, slides, finger-picking and palm muting. I will also teach the student about different ways of playing guitar and different effects that can be created using Amps and tuning.
I will also cover how to write chords on paper- key skills for songwriting- as well as tips on performing that could be useful for any musician no matter the instrument. As I have skills in writing my own music as well as producing my own music, I will be able to encourage students to explore different genres of music and different styles of playing. Within the lesson, we will cover everything stated above to ensure the student has a well rounded musical knowledge. I will always ask that the students go away and practice at home but this will never be forced- the student will only practice if they enjoy playing! If the student grows to love the instrument, they will crave the music and they will want to start playing alone at home without being pressured.
I am able to complete lessons in person or online for just £12 an hour!

Hi! Welcome to my page!
Who am I? My name is Devinder and I'm an online tutor. I love teaching and I hope you will be interested in the academic services I have to offer. My 5-star reviews can be read here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069584765662&sk=reviews HOW WOULD I BENEFIT AS A STUDENT? If you are a parent or carer, then your children can benefit from private lessons in English (up to KS2), Maths (up to GCSE), Science (GCSE), Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. This way of learning would not only boost their confidence but also increase their results in 11+ entrance, SATs and GCSEs placing them ahead of their peers. Past pupils sitting their entrance exams have gone on to apply to their chosen schools and university with proven results. Students would have access to vast resources including a catalogue of at least 200 books full of techniques and past papers to help support and boost their education. Learners are offered a personalised tuition plan catered to their individual needs, goals and learning styles. Learners can expect to have their knowledge gaps identified and appropriate resources selected to help them close those specific gaps, in a caring yet challenging manner. Tuition is not a side hustle for me, it's my main vocation. Not only does that mean more attention for your child but also availability during daytime through school holidays or if you are based overseas. WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOUR LESSONS With +10,000 hours teaching experience, you can expect a lot. Firstly, there is a free consultation so you can assess whether we make a good fit. All lessons are prepared in advance to make the best use of tuition time. Curriculum-aligned material is taught, learners’ understanding is checked systematically, misconceptions identified accurately and clear and direct feedback is provided. In doing so, knowledge gaps are identified and content repeated to plug gaps where appropriate and embed learning. Common errors are shared to help student prevent making them in their practice and in their exams. I use a collaborative, interactive, online whiteboard which is free and simple for my students to use: no holding aloft shaky notepads aimed at the webcam. This allows me to watch and check students' understanding in real time. Unlike other tutors, I do not use Zoom/Google Meet or Teams. I subscribe to a special educator platform which has been rated 5-star by its users. Using the `I Do, You Do, We Do` model, students are told what they need to know and how to do it, then we work on a task together to help student become more confident with new learning and finally student individually uses what they have been shown to demonstrate proficiency using practice questions or repeating back to me what they have learned. EXAM PREPARATION STRATEGY Construct a solid foundation of knowledge Exam technique tips Practice (practice practice!) past papers in the weeks/months preceding exam SKILLS OFFERED Excellent, deep subject area knowledge of curricula Strong ability to explain concepts in clear and simple terms Engagement with students of assorted abilities and backgrounds QUALIFICATIONS I hold a Bsc (Hons) Biochemistry from a Russell Group University and a PgDip Analytical Chemistry. I spent the first two years of my university programme studying maths. I'm DBS checked and my qualifications and certificates are available for inspection.

I like to start by gauging the students general ability on a subject before using active recall methods to help them learn the content. Once they have a solid framework of the topic, I will progress them to doing written exam questions of varying difficulty. This then identifies weak points which we can then revisit.
All students learn differently, so teaching is individualised to them and their goals. I like to use a variety of visual learning techniques, particularly diagrams alongside verbal explanations to solidify a students understanding and to help them to develop their recall methods by doing so. Particularly for science, I think it is vital to test a student on recalling knowledge both verbally and in writing. Verbal explanations require understanding the knowledge in order to repeat it in their own words, while writing it ensures it is embedded in their memory, two vital elements of success in academics.
I have participated in a program in school over the past two years where sixth formers tutor younger students maths. I learnt a great deal through this program and have developed a variety of ways to explain concepts that are more challenging. Having completed my A-levels recently, I also deeply understand the importance of learning in a variety of ways to solidify knowledge and to make learning an enjoyable process, something that is extremely important to me.
I can accommodate for any exam board for GCSE science and maths. I am most familiar with Pearson Edexcel maths A-level but can accommodate to most other exam boards. For chemistry A-level I am most familiar with the OCR specification but can accommodate for AQA as well.

First lesson is FREE (No obligation). Maths and Science tutoring by a UK QUALIFIED TEACHER and A GCSE EXAMINER for a leading exam board from a school in Harrow.
(GCSE, KS3 and Year 6 SATS Maths)
Excellent results were produced last year (100% pass rate, 81. 8 % level 8 or 9). Please contact to reserve a place for your child to assist his/her learning at school. It could be exam preparation, grasping basics or simply extending your child to his/her maximum ability. (A child who is capable of getting an A/A* (or level 9) achieving a B (Level 6-7 or so) is still under-performance). Each lesson is 1 hour and 30 minutes. We use diagnostic tests (FREE ASSESSMENT) to identify weak areas of students and we fix it by addressing the cause of the problem. Lessons are conducted in small groups in Pinner with INDIVIDUAL LESSON PLANS and individual intervention to maximize the impact of tutoring.
All lessons of MATHSCI EDUCATION CENTRE are conducted at Nower Hill High School. Number of students from local schools such as Nower Hill, Watford boys and Girls, John Lyon, Merchant Taylers, QE boys, Bushey meads, Long field and Pinner High School are already using this great opportunity to excel in their education. Please contact to arrange your FREE ASSESSMENT followed by a report on weaknesses and strengths of your child without any obligation. Thank you, Kind regards, Dushan
