I have a great deal of experience as a tutor. I have been working at one of the UK's leading Grammar Schools for the past four years. I tutor maths GCSE and A level online. I have also conducted numerous online webinars/ webclasses and drop-in sessions for students across the country for A Level maths. I love to make maths engaging. My instagram and YouTube accounts (Mark-a-minute maths) has had a wide following from students and I consistently post short 1 minute videos for students to get snappy, bitesize reviews of topics and model answers to exam questions.
I have been working in schools since 2004, initially as a Teaching Assistant and then wanting to become a teacher, which I achieved in 2014. I am very passionate about working with parents, children and other adults that help move children forward, through developing their confidence to achieve this.
I believe that my skills and guidance, I can help children to reach their potential. I have worked with various children with different needs. I can help children to succeed and enjoy their learning and making it fun, but effective and tailored to their individual needs.
I am available to help with all primary subjects. I am experienced in Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics and Letters and Sounds Phonic schemes.
I can tailor a individual education plan to your child's needs and abilities.
First Class Learning is a National Curriculum based programme. We provide an individualised approach to each child depending on their abilities.
Our centre is one of over 250 nationwide and we have successfully educated a number of students in the St Albans area over the past 8 years. We provide homework assistance, FREE telephone support, and SATs & GCSE preparation.
We offer a complimentary intial asseessment with no obligation to establish your child's current needs and abilities.
Our prices start from £55 for one month per subject and we offer subject and sibling discounts.
Available weekdays after school, Saturdays and for home schooling during the day. I can either come to you or you come to me. I also run small group sessions at a cheaper rate.
Welcome to MagiKats at Stevenage, where we welcome new students throughout the year. The centres cater for children aged 4 - 16. Whether your child requires extension work, skill consolidation or remedial support - we can help.
Seeing how pupils learn in school and the size of classes, I can see the need for some children to have immediate help with topics they are covering in school, plus a chance to fill the gaps in their learning of basic skills. I found that the MagiKats approach does just that; in weekly workshops students cover age appropriate work, whilst five short pieces of homework each week address basic skills. For example, a student might be working on fractions in the workshop whilst brushing up on times tables at home.
I am enthusiastic about MagiKats because work is set to meet the students' needs on an individual basis, thus making each programme unique. Following your enquiry, I can normally carry out a placement test within a couple of weeks, after which your child is welcome to start attending workshops almost immediately. I hope that you find the information here clear and easy to understand. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
You can contact me through this website, by e-mail, or telephone. I am in the office during most mornings, but am often teaching in the afternoons. However if I am unavailable please leave a message on my answerphone and I will call you back.
I do hope that you find the information here clear and easy to understand. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
I enjoy working creatively with children and I am aware of the different mind friendly learning techniques that can be used to facilitate effective learning. I incorporate these techniques into my www.*** ;I believe that children need a firm foundation in basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to be able to flourish in other areas of the www.*** ;I understand that continuity and progression in learning is vital and my planning and teaching reflect this.
Qualified as a teacher and taught in Belfast (Methodist College) and then in Johannesburg (St Davids Marist College) where I became head of the Science Department. Subsequently I went into industry with Computers and networks. Now I am tutoring full time. I enjoy meeting people and helping students to maximise their grades and their chances of sucess in a very competitive world.
I am a fully qualified and very experienced maths teacher with a master’s degree and qualified teacher status. I also have an enhanced DBS check.
I offer tuition to students of a wide range of ages and all abilities for a range of courses & exams, including KS2, KS3, GCSE, entrance exams and numeracy tests.
All lessons are tailored to the needs of the student. I set (optional) homework at the end of the lesson so that students can consolidate on the learning that has taken place during the lesson. The following lesson I check the homework has been completed successfully and go over any questions that the student found difficult. Near exam time, the lessons are focussed on exam techniques and practice papers.
We set themselves apart by guiding our students through work that is set at just the right level for them, keeping them engaged and making progress. We support and encourage students to work out answers by themselves, helping them to become self-sufficient, successful learners for the future. By studying little and often through daily worksheets and twice weekly study centre visits, our students steadily increase ability and fluency, building their skills in small, manageable steps.

I have a MSc, PGCE, QTS (England). I am presently teaching in a School. DBS is available on request.
I am an experienced teacher and a tutor. My own son goes to one of the top grammar schools in the country (QE Boys in Barnet) after being tutored by me. I am a full time teacher at a school in Camden and I tutor out of school hours; I am very busy and take on new students only when a place becomes available. I am mature, calm and reassuring to the students that I teach. I have taught and tutored a wide range of abilities and personalities which means I know how to adapt my tasks and approach to take account of the students that I teach. All of the children that I tutored have been ssuccessful at passing the 11+ to obtain a place in selective schools. For those who would like to do well in non-selective schools, they can benefit enormously from the wealth of experience and expertise I have aquired from nearly two decades of teaching and tutoring. I know how the structure and procedues in the education system work and I know what to do and not to do to be successful regardless of the kind of school a child attends. Whatever your aim in hiring a tutor, I guarantee that your child will benefit a great deal from the teaching that I provide.
Visit MathsEdu uk - my personal tutoring website. I offer one-to-one as well as group online maths lessons. Check it out.
Maths has always been my first love. I come from India. I'm an Electronics & Communications engineer by profession, having worked in the Indian Space Programme as a Scientist for 11+ years.
In the UK, I've trained at a Grammar School via the Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTTP) and have tutored 70+ pupils in GCSE & A Levels.
I'm a qualified teacher with QTS certificate. I am Enhanced DBS checked with current valid certificate.
I tutor full time including weekdays (useful for resit students).
I prefer tutoring to teaching in a class room since I can focus on knowledge transfer and dissemination rather than in class room control.
I prefer to tutor on-line but would consider travel within a 5 to 8-mile radius.
Currently, I am focusing on GCSE Maths only, but in another year, will expand to A Levels.
As a community service, I also teach Maths for 2 hours every weekend free of charge at my local Parish.
I use the latest interactive technology to teach and reinforce pedagogical concepts - online and face-to-face. My On-line sessions are interactive and two-way and I monitor student progress live during the online session. I have my library of graded problems from multiple sources to ensure understanding by practicing a variety of problems in the same topic.
I'm available for tutoring (online & at my residence)Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PMSundays: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Weekdays: As a full-time tutor, I'm available from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM
Evenings are do-able too - please contact me.
Hi there,
I have registered to become a tutor because of my passion for the Sciences and Maths. I want to inspire and motivate other students studying these difficult subjects.
I'm a second year student at Imperial College London, reading Medical Biosciences. I took my A-levels last year and obtained AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I also did an EPQ where my reserach topic was centered around Alzheimer's and Dementia and obtained an A. At GCSE, I obtained 2 8s (Maths and English Literature), 5A*s (Biology, Chemisty, Latin, Geography and RS), a 7 (English Language) and 3As (Further Maths, Physics and German).
During my Sixth Form years I acted as a mentor to GCSE Maths students - most got As after taking the exam. Having gone through these exams recently, I understand the keys to sucessful revsion and how to get the grades you want. It's a process I followed for both GCSE and A-level. I would love to support you in two ways- to consoldiate your learning and to catch up with any missed course material due to the distrubtion of Covid-19 pandemic.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Lara www.***

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! I am qualified Secondary Math teacher and experienced Math tutor over 3 years. All those years working with students taught me that every student’s ability and their strengths are different. Structured tuition can give students an opportunity to show their real potential. Helping them to create a correct mindset for learning and underline what they already achieve will give them much-needed confident boost and prepare them to stretch their learning.
As a parent we want our children to full fill their true potential. Building a strong foundation will help student to achieve more than their predicted grade.
I tutor KS2, KS3 and KS4 students in all abilities and GCSE re-takers. Working with wide aspect of students gave me an opportunity to see what can be done more for them to achieve their goals.
