C. offers people of all walks of life the opportunity to learn invaluable skills, without the heavy price tag or unnecessary hurdles.
We've focused specifically on providing training courses that are genuinely beneficial for you and your loved ones and which will help you grow, inspire and attain a better life..
Our organisation was a long time in the making. We wanted to find the very best teachers who not only have the professional qualifications, skills and experience to lead a class, but to also possess that essential 'magic' that makes our students' time more enjoyable, easy-to-understand, and to ignite a passion for learning.
The training courses we decided to run are focused on bringing real benefit to our students' lives. That's why we carried out so much research into finding training courses that everyone can enjoy, and use in everyday life.
Our four pillars of strength
As part of our mission to help people, we wanted to develop a simple mantra - a kind of positioning statement for our team to remember and be driven by.
1. RESPECT - to always treat people with the utmost respect... never judging, assuming or finding reason to not give our students 100%.
2. TRUST - to always deliver on our promises, to never let anyone down or hinder their progress.
3. ACCOUNTABILITY - If we get something wrong, to 'own it', learn from it, correct it, and do better next time around.
4. PASSION - to make things fun, engaging, useful and to do everything in our power to see that our students reach their full potential, and achieve better, quicker results.
We believe that every student who chooses us is an individual in their own right. That's why we are more than happy to discuss your ambitions with you before booking your training with us.

Philip M R. Ltd is a small company in Hemel Hempstead which, amongst other operations, provides 1 to1 private teaching to local children from Key Stage 2 upwards in STEM subjects. The company’s teaching philosophy, built up over 40 years of teaching experience, is based upon the mantra tell me I forget, show me and I will remember, but let me do and I will understand. Fully qualified teacher with 40 years teaching experience
We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.

As an older graduate entering the teaching profession, my recent international teaching and work experience resulted in a “eureka” moment for me. Not only have I enjoyed teaching and working with children, but I have really felt a sense of importance with the improvements and progress I have been involved in. My experience teaching in schools highlighted the lack of opportunities in life that still arise from poor education and developed a sense of advocacy in me, where my experience, personality, and drive would really make a difference in the classroom.
I have gained valuable teaching experience in both selective and non-selective schools; taught in multicultural schools as well as schools where the mother tongue was not English. I have developed excellent inter- personal and communication skills in dealing with all stakeholders within a school community; proven to be innovative where necessary in problem solving, as well as having good teamwork skills. One of my greatest attributes is in communicating with parents and being able to utilize my background, experience, and contacts within the university sector to plan a progress career path for students.
As a teacher, I use my experience, practical knowledge and leadership skills gained in industry to enable me to spearhead educational improvement through being an inspirational role model for students as well as shaping their attitudes to learning at key stages 3/4/5. I would like to develop students so that they are best prepared, both socially and educationally, for the challenges they will face on leaving school in an ever increasing and more challenging environment. I endeavour to develop exciting and engaging lessons that have at the heart of them, a sense of scientific enquiry that stimulates in students, a love for science as a subject as well as a passion for learning.
I feel it is important that students have a sense of a sense of teamwork in the classroom that arises from engagement with their peers by developing an engaging, interactive dynamic approach to learning in the classroom. I feel it is important to develop, in students, the ability to think critically inside and outside the classroom and empower students through pupil participation and leadership in lessons.
I am looking for a school that I feel fits my abilities and aspirations and where I can fit and make a real difference. I am very keen to develop my teaching by commencing my PGCE at the University of Nottingham in September 2021 (and fully intend to complete an associated master’s degree in science teaching/education immediately after). I also intend to become a chartered science teacher through the RSC as soon as possible and have already commenced associated cpd courses to facilitate this.
I believe that my empathy to students, passion for science and willingness to inspire students of all abilities would make me an outstanding candidate for the position as a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher. I am thoroughly committed to teaching as a career and I believe that my classroom presence, personality, coupled with my subject knowledge enables me to be a highly effective teacher. the time to consider my application and I look forward to the opportunity of discussing the position in more detail.

First lesson is FREE (No obligation). Maths and Science tutoring by a UK QUALIFIED TEACHER and A GCSE EXAMINER for a leading exam board from a school in Harrow.
(GCSE, KS3 and Year 6 SATS Maths)
Excellent results were produced last year (100% pass rate, 81. 8 % level 8 or 9). Please contact to reserve a place for your child to assist his/her learning at school. It could be exam preparation, grasping basics or simply extending your child to his/her maximum ability. (A child who is capable of getting an A/A* (or level 9) achieving a B (Level 6-7 or so) is still under-performance). Each lesson is 1 hour and 30 minutes. We use diagnostic tests (FREE ASSESSMENT) to identify weak areas of students and we fix it by addressing the cause of the problem. Lessons are conducted in small groups in Pinner with INDIVIDUAL LESSON PLANS and individual intervention to maximize the impact of tutoring.
All lessons of MATHSCI EDUCATION CENTRE are conducted at Nower Hill High www.*** ; Number of students from local schools such as Nower Hill, Watford boys and Girls, John Lyon, Merchant Taylers, QE boys, Bushey meads, Long field and Pinner High School are already using this great opportunity to excel in their education. Please contact to arrange your FREE ASSESSMENT followed by a report on weaknesses and strengths of your child without any obligation. Thank you, Kind regards, Dushan

I am a highly qualified, organised and self-driven individual with experience in working with children from years 1 to 13, teaching Mathematics in schools and as a private tutor. I have excellent time management skills and extensive experience in preparing engaging lessons adhering to the curriculum and each students’ learning needs and style.
Reflecting on my personal educational experience, external reading and modules I’ve taken up on teaching on top of my degree, I appreciate the impact the teachers make on the lives of young people. Furthermore, I believe that the skills and knowledge acquired throughout a young person’s education academically and personally has an immeasurable influence on their future. Therefore, as a tutor, I teach the material critically, specifically by expanding on the “whys” and the “hows” behind different techniques which would then encourage the students to look at the world more critically.
Additionally, I believe that understanding the reasoning behind each step from a young age is essential to strengthen their independent problem solving skills. Moreover, I believe this is pivotal in reducing maths anxiety, a common type of anxiety many suffer from which has proven to have an adverse effect on academic performance and motivation levels of students across all years.
My Educational Ethos
Throughout my experience as a teaching assistant, I have noticed that many students across all year groups abandon questions if it seems unfamiliar or difficult at first glance. However, when broken down in to steps students are capable of either working out a few of the steps towards the correct answer or reaching the complete answer by themselves.
I believe that one of the main reasons leading to this is the students’ lack of confidence in their ability and knowledge. Therefore, as part of my teaching process I focus on bridging the gap between classwork and being able to adapt their learnings to solve problems.
1. Starter activity
To build their confidence and reinforce their learnings, I start each of my lessons with a starter activity. This would include few questions on the material they have learned in previous lessons or the learnings directly relevant to the material covered in that lesson. I feel that this gives the students the opportunity to refresh their memory and skills whilst subtly drawing attention to the tools necessary for that lesson. These review activities and regular exercises help commit their learnings to long term memory leading to improved academic results.
For example, if the lesson was about using the circle theorems to find the angle x in a circle, I would start my lesson with a fun activity involving circle theorems.
2. Frequent reviewing sessions
Similarly, I like to commit half an hour to an hour per month reviewing and refreshing the material they’ve learnt over the course of the month. This is a great opportunity for the students to ask questions and brush up on their skills. Furthermore, this gives me an opportunity to review their understanding and focus on the divisions I feel could be improved. These reviewing sessions ensure effective learning as most of the material is built upon previous skills and learnings and consolidating the underpinning topics is key, especially in Mathematics.
3. Exercises
I believe the exercises given to the student must be tailored to their educational level and include questions which stretch their understanding to reach their maximum potential. This is because the first few exercises must build their confidence and then that can confidence can be used to introduce and encourage students to attempt more challenging problems.
With my lessons, I adapt the exercises per student depending on their ability because I strongly believe that this is the most effective method of teaching as no two students are the same. As a private tutor, I believe that this is the perfect opportunity for the students to gain the most personalised and therefore most effective lessons. Therefore, I make my lessons highly adaptive to cater to the needs and educational level of the students to enable them to reach their maximum results.
4. The whys and the hows
If the students understand the underpinning concepts behind each method, then I believe that leads to better results. A majority of the times, students are taught each method as a set of instructions. However, I believe that this is not the most effective way of teaching or learning as this does not promote independent problem solving skills and the likelihood of confusion increases if the students were to learn a set of processes per each topic. Therefore, I teach topics by placing emphasis on the objective of the problem and explaining why each step is taken.
I believe that education should be focused on the individual needs, and engage students in the process of their learning. I believe that all students have strengths and acquired knowledge, and the purpose of education is to assist students in identifying and building upon these.
One-on-one tutoring gives the opportunity for the teachings to be catered to the individual style and needs of the student which is not fulfilled to the same extent in school. Therefore, tutoring is the perfect opportunity for the student to reach their maximum potential because unlike in schools, these lessons will be going at a pace that is right for the student. Thus, it gives them the opportunity to master all areas.
For these reasons, my lessons are unique and made with the student in mind to cater to their individual needs and learning styles. This is how I ensure the students reach their maximum potential!
