I take a student focused approach to tutoring. My goal is to build confidence as well as understanding by making tricky topics feel approachable and engaging. I adapt my teaching methods depending on how each student learns best – whether that’s through step-by-step explanations, diagrams, analogies, or active questioning. I make heavy use of past paper practice, since it's one of the most effective ways to prepare for GCSEs. We work on mastering exam technique and recognising common question patterns, so students feel fully prepared by exam season. A typical lesson is 60 minutes long. During that time, I usually: Begin with a quick recap or starter question, Dive into teaching or reviewing the chosen topic, Work through examples together, and End with a few exam-style questions to apply what’s been covered. I’ve been tutoring GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry for over 2 years, and I’ve helped students move up multiple grades through consistent, focused support. I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Maths, so I know exactly what it takes to succeed in these subjects from a student's perspective. |
