Hi, I’m Bryony—I’m 27 and currently in my second year of a BSc Mathematics degree.
I’m passionate about making maths and physics feel less intimidating. I specialise in helping students who feel anxious or have had a tough time in school. My aim is to create a calm, supportive space that helps you grow in confidence, skill and achieve the highest grades you are capable of. I have experience tutoring different syllabuses for GCSE examinations, as well as KS2 SATs, KS3, and grammar school entrance exams.
I offer both online and in-person lessons, depending on what works best for you. Most sessions last an hour.

I also tutor the theoretical side of City & Guilds Electrical Installation Level 2 and 3, drawing upon my own experince completing a Level 3 apprenticeship. My focus is on helping learnings understand the key principles, regulations and calculations required to succeed in the classroom and in exams. I've supported many apprentices in my compnay through their studies, helping them build confiden and pass their qualifications with a solid understanding of the theory behind the trade.
I also offer tailored tutoring in verbal and non-verbal reasoning to help students prepare for grammar school entrance exams. My sessions focus on building the problem-solving skills, pattern recognition, and logical thinking needed to tackle these challenging question types. Using practice papers, proven techniques, and timed drills, I help students improve accuracy, speed, and confidence ahead of the 11+ exams.

I have three years tutoring experience of GCSE and A Level Mathematics, as well as A Level Further Mathematics.
Aside from this, I have worked at King`s College London Mathematics School for nine years, teaching AS Computer Science as well as supporting students in admissions test preparation for Maths (i.e. the Oxford MAT and STEP papers). This has also involved mathematics outreach for y10 and y11 students,.
Before working in a school (during my PhD), I took on a range of tutorials for undergraduate mathematics students, mainly based on 1st and 2nd year modules, covering introductory calculus, analysis and abstract algebra.

Hello! I’m Josh, a Head of Mathematics at a successful Secondary school in Bromley and an experienced online tutor specialising in GCSE and A-level Mathematics, including Further Maths. I’ve been doing this for 8 years, and I’ve found joy in simplifying tricky math concepts.

I originally trained and worked as a secondary school English teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.
I have a team of tutors who are all DBS checked and either currently teach or have taught in schools.
My methodology is tailored to each student needs and the progress is monitored regularly. I am very confident with the methods I use as I tutor at different levels which means I can choose the right level based on student needs. I always follow a simple approach in teaching Maths I teach in a clear simple style and I make sure the student understands by testing.
I plan my lessons in advance based on student needs! I am flexible, I can do practice based on exam papers for higher levels or I can also do individual lesson plans for any topic on lower levels. I am confident with all levels.
For each lesson I send notes and I also provide workbooks and homework !

I am a Year 12 student in Saint Olave's Grammar School for Boys who teaches maths for 11+/KS3 exams. I do online maths tutoring or tutoring within 5 miles radius of my home. I have experience tutoring 11+ candidates with their maths exams resulting in most passing their maths exams.
I remember vividly how it was going through all the preparation necessary for my 11+ exams and this effectively allows me to relate to the current candidates. I know the stress and even fear that might accompany getting ready for the exams as I have gone through it therefore I aim to help my students prepare effectively but most importantly in a way which will not pile on extra pressure.
My teaching techniques are letting my student answer the questions first try and then I go through the questions they felt they were not comfortable with, suggesting other methods they could try to answer the question but making sure they understand it as well. For the questions answered well I still suggest alternative methods so they can pick the method they feel most comfortable with. I have considerable experience being a tutor as I tutored last year's candidates for their 11+ exams in maths, resulting in a high pass rate. My lessons are 2 hours and for students doing 11+ or exams in KS3.

I believe classrooms are fun when the learning is meaningful, when the ethos is positive and when you know that you are valued and that the contributions that you make, as adult or child, can make a difference.
Neil Simco reminded us that how we are with children will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Each moment that we spend with our children is so important because they can never have that moment again. Everything that I do as a teacher means so much to each and every child that I teach. I know that these children may take something of what I have said, what I have taught them and use it someday, in a way that will truly make a difference to them in their lives.
Progression needs to be planned for, so that as children work and explore at their own pace, there is always something else ready to move them on and take them further in their learning. I also believe that differentiation and meeting varied learning styles are key to effective teaching and learning.
