I'm a languages student at Warwick University with an A* in both Maths and Further Maths A* at A-Level. I want to tutor maths as I've always enjoyed it and to pass that sense of satisfaction when it clicks on to other people. I am patient and I'm proud of my ability to explain the difficult concepts in Maths in ways that others can understand. We will take lessons one step at a time and I always make sure to create a comfortable working environment for my tutees, where they don't feel judged or overwhelmed. Before the first lesson, I will get to know you: what you are working to achieve, your learning style and your strengths and weaknesses. From there, in each lesson we will focus on a specific topic area, breaking down the ideas in a way that works for you. I believe once someone understands HOW a concept works they will be much more confident in solving problems. We will have active discussions to help visualise the concepts in each topic, and finish by doing some topic-specific questions together to identify anything that might trip you up. Having taken both GCSE and A-Level Maths and got the top grade, I know that the key to improving your grades is your understanding, and that’s where I am here to help. |
