I am a Modern Foreign Languages Graduate with several years of experience teaching both French and Spanish to A level (AQA and EDEXCEL). I am used to working with a wide range of students from lower to higher ability and have an open and direct approach to teaching and learning.
After working as an Au-Pair in France and spending a year teaching in Spain I went onto work in business as a Spanish Market Analyst. Throughout my career in Publishing, I frequently used French and Spanish whilst presenting or in international business negotiations. I speak French and Spanish fluently and Spanish on a daily basis and believe that languages are essential in today's working environment - not just as a communication tool but to better understand different cultures and societies.
At present, I teach in a Grammar School across all key stages.

I originally trained and worked as a secondary school English teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.

I understand that everybody learns very differently, particularly when it comes to language. Typical lesson length 1 hour (although I am happy to be flexible around your availability). I am currently studying (and loving) A-level French. I have 10 GCSEs at Grade 9 (A**) including Spanish and French and would like to think that having just completed my GCSEs gives me a wealth of experience in the most current and effective ways of preparing for top grades. Lessons are aimed at KS3 and KS4 students, although I am happy to take KS2 learners if desired. As a qualified teacher for both MFL and ESOL, I have been teaching Spanish (KS3-KS5) and French (KS3) for a few years in secondary schools. Also I have been tutoring Spanish mainly in the evenings for over ten years. (KS4-KS5/Adults).

Spangles has been successfully running Spanish courses for adults, teenagers and children in Kent since 2005. Spangles Spanish lessons are focussed on conversation and culture. Our well-structured courses are reinforced with audio tracks to assist adults and teenagers with speaking and listening.
Each child is awarded a vocabulary picture-sheet at the end of each lesson and everyone can access the interactive games on this website to assist with learning.
