As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!
Contact me and ask what it is that you need and I will make sure you will get the best of your language skills!
On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.

Details of my experience include ENGLISH LANGUAGE / LITERATURE - I studied English as my major at university and then specialised in this for my PGCE. I since then taught from curricula including KS1-KS3, GCSE, A-Level, Undergraduate, Functional Skills and SEN. HISTORY - I studied History as my minor at university. I have since then taught privately at GCSE. This has ranged between teenagers and mature students. EFL - I have tutored for ESOL and EFL privately. Levels have ranged from Beginner to Advanced levels. This has also ranged between children and adults. GUITAR - I have given guitar lessons to beginners of various ages in both groups and one-to-one. From my experience it has been highly rewarding to reinforce the values of learning and students have shown great appreciation and enthusiasm regarding my assistance. I have gained much praise regarding my calm manner; my understanding of people’s needs; determination in helping them succeed; well-structured lessons and strong subject knowledge.
I am a highly experienced teacher of English literature, having taught in the English Department of University College London for ten years. Though I specialised in modern literature, I taught across the curriculum of English and American literature. I was particularly good at helping students with their essay writing - understanding texts, developing a persuasive and original argument, and organising their work in ways that were both competent and exciting. I also have experience tutoring students to take A-level exams and the GRE for graduate applications. I was admissions tutor for 2 years at UCL, and so have insider knowledge of what it takes to successfully apply to an elite university.
I am currently a thrid year teacher at Mill Hill County High School, working in a thriving English department. I am currently looking to take on some extra tuition to subsidise my income, and have a wealth of resources I would be willing to share. I am experienced in KS3, 4 and 5 as I teach a wide range of students from all year groups. I have achieved impressive results in both Literature and Language GCSEs and all students met or surpassed their target grades.
I am a highly experienced, flexible and very versatile tutor, with advanced degrees and teaching qualifications in business, finance, history, literature, art, classics, maths and sciences. I teach at Middlesex University, and also conduct face to face and online training for a variety of other clients, from teenagers up to adult professionals. I have experience with exam prep (IB, CFA, CISI) as well as undergrad and postgrad courses in the subjects listed above. I can travel across London or even overseas for the right assignments. I believe I charge fairly for value provided, and promote an engaging, enjoyable teaching and learning style.

As a former teacher alongside with experience as a teaching assistant, I have a genuine passion for helping children of all abilities reach their individual maximal potential. I really do enjoy teaching and planning lessons and have reliable organisation skills. Bringing quality education in a meaningful way which gains understanding is my main priority in this profession. Giving children the attention they deserve never fails to give me life in this environment.
Hello, I am an experienced primary school teacher based in Hackney. I have predominantly focused on supporting and helping children reach age expected expectations at the end of KS1 - year 2. I have a warm and friendly nature and can build strong and positive relationship with my pupils.
I am a highly skilled Secondary School teacher of English and Head of Media Studies, with 15 years' experience teaching at Key Stage 3, 4, GCSE and A Level in both English Literature, English Language and A Level Media Studies. I've had the joy of seeing my students go on to study both subjects at university, keep in touch and even send me their university essays and degree dissertations as proof of their continued enthusiasm for both English and Media Studies.
Having taught first for five years in Swakeley's School, an excellent comprehensive school in Hillingdon, and then spent the last 10 years teaching at the excellent St Mary's School for Girls in Gerrards Cross, I have gathered a huge amount of experience teaching both large and small groups, and, particularly at A Level, tutoring small groups of between 2-8 students.
I love communicating my passion for reading, for literature, for fluent and accurate written communication and for the power of words and other media to inform, educate and entertain us, and watching young people appreciate that power and want to emulate it themselves.
Recently I have enjoyed teaching and tutoring online via Teams and Zoom, building up a whole host of new skills and finding the joy of enabling young people to learn just as (or even more) effectively from home as they have done in a school environment. The power of one-to-one teaching should not be underestimated - a huge amount can be achieved with this close attention to the needs of an individual.
