I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.
My name is Shyrose, I am a full-time private tutor based in Central London.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Loughborough University (1st class Honours) and a Global Master's in Management (Distinction) from the world renowned London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE).
Over the past year I have provided tuition in Business, Economics, English and Mathematics to students ranging from ages 7 to 46, at a variety of educational levels, including KS2, KS3, School Entrance Exams (11+), GCSEs and A-Levels. Having studied and worked across 5 countries - Dubai, Hong Kong, Portugal, Switzerland and the UK - I am passionate about tutoring students from a variety of backgrounds to help them set and achieve their goals. My approach is interactive, flexible and tailored specifically to the student’s needs, as each student is unique and highly capable. One of my greatest strengths is the ability to explain complex concepts in simpler, more-accessible terms personalised for the student’s optimal methods of learning. I believe in providing the support the student needs to build confidence and to thrive whilst simultaneously encouraging independent learning to give them life-long self-education skills.
My highly-diverse and international professional, scholastic and personal experiences make me an ideal candidate for this role. As a Global MiM student at LSE, I have honed my analytical, quantitative and interpersonal competencies. This was best exemplified when I topped my 81-person cohort in the US MBA Exchange process and through ranking in the top 5% in ‘Foundations in Management I.’ Moreover, being selected to lead the 4-person team responsible for advising ‘Rare Disease Nurse Network’ (a UK-based charity) as part of the LSE’s flagship ‘Capstone Project’ enhanced my teamwork, communication and leadership skills. Through internships at UBP (Dubai and Geneva), I demonstrated my critical-thinking mastery whilst conducting financial and commercial due diligence to assess the feasibility of various investment opportunities. I worked closely with key stakeholders from Europe, Asia and the Middle-East where I learnt the importance of embracing diversity and versatility.

I began studying Economics at a comprehensive school in the midlands in 1983. Nearly 40 years on and I still have a love for the subject and have been teaching it for almost all of my working life. For the last 18 years I have been teaching Economics at GCSE and A level at a top Essex grammar school.

I am an experienced Finance Director and Chartered Certified Accountant with an MBA from Durham University. Durham being ranked 3rd in the UK, 5th in Europe and 10th globally.
My strengths in addition to my extensive career experience and academic accreditations, is that I am skilled at explaining complex accounting, finance and economic concepts in an easy to understand, practical way to finance and non-finance people alike.
The first 1-hour session is free. We would use this session to get to know each other (both you and/or your child) and to understand specific areas where support is needed. I will draw up a study plan to lead up to revision, mocks and final exams, as required, to be shared and agreed with you before we start the fee-paying session. This will ensure maximum benefit from the lessons.
Additional one-off lessons are available on request, as are bespoke laminated memory flash cards and mind maps for that last minute or on the go revision refresher. Additional lessons may for example include revision support or elements of a subject that "you just can’t get". For an additional fee, I also offer an out of hours telephone support service, for the early morning, late night revision when you just need to pick up the phone and ask a question.
With my extensive practical experience in the field of accounting, finance and economics, I will get you or your child over the mental blockers and inspire confidence in exam success with the application real life examples to theory. My teaching technique will embed subject elements into memory for recollection in an exam setting and beyond. I have some excellent revision techniques, invaluable for the run up to the exams I would be delighted to share.
To me, every pupil is individual, and my approach is to take a bespoke approach to those individual needs.

I am currently an undergraduate at Imperial College for Aeronautical Engineering and am happy to teach all abilities up to GCSE.
