I hold a master’s degree in development policy, options in both macro and microeconomics with a Distinction Grade from KDI School, Republic of Korea; a Master of Science degree in Economics with a Ph. D. grade from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with First Class Honours from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
I started teaching basic micro and macroeconomics to A level students in 2008, and I have more than five (5) years of research and professional work experience related to both micro and macroeconomics. My international experience affords me the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment and relate with students and colleagues of various nationalities.
I have been working as a certified teacher and exam coaching professional for over 15 years. I specialise in helping people identify and achieve their A level and GCSE goals by developing simple exam technique strategies.
As an examiner for both Business and Economics I am able to provide valuable insights into what the examining board requires to achieve the higher grade levels.
I currently work in Salisbury at Bishop Wordsworth Grammar School and i am the former Head of Business Education at Canford School.

Selecting the right tutor is an important choice to make for any parent or carer- does the tutor teach the subject? Are they an examiner in that subject? How experienced are they? These are the questions I ask when I look for support for my own children.

I have taught Economics and Business Studies at both GCSE and A-Level for 23 years within the state sector, holding a range of positions: Head of Department, Head of Sixth Form, Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Acting Headteacher. For 22 of those years I have examined in both subjects for UK & International examination boards at a senior level. This includes the International Economics papers for students who study the subject around the world and the Singapore A-Level papers - set solely for students of that country. I have delivered training to teachers on behalf of examination boards and asked to support schools develop their teaching of the subject. Before training to teach, I worked within the UK Government Economic Service and a City of London Investment firm. I am currently an undergraduate at Imperial College for Aeronautical Engineering and am happy to teach all abilities up to GCSE.
