I am a qualified teacher with a degree in History and PGCE in Citizenship. I am an experienced teacher with responsibility as a Year Learning Coordinator I have extensive knowledge and understanding of the current History curriculum at KS3, 4 and 5. I also Health and Social Care curriculum KS4 and KS5. During my teaching career I have taught the following History, Citizenship, Health & Social Care, Child Development & PSHE. I have excellent admin and ICT skills. As part of my role in teaching I am committed to education for all children. As a Year learning coordinator I have provided overall year team leadership, setting priorities and direction. I have generated a team ethos of high expectations, fostered team building and a corporate approach. I have led across the school in matters involving their year group in consultation with the SLT Line Managers and according to whole school priorities. I have led a larger tutor team, ensuring quality pastoral care and academic monitoring through the development and training of tutors in the team. I have vast experience of monitoring student progress and attainment across the year group I have led in the development and implementation of criteria for identifying underachieving students and in the implementation and evaluation of an intervention strategy for selected groups of students and individual students .I have advised SLT and CLs on the most effective groupings and organisation of students. I have been able to maximize inclusion through liaison with Inclusion and outside agencies to best meet the needs of all students. I have been able to provide opportunities for the development of student voice through the development of Year and School Council. I have also been able to maximise parental engagement through liaison with parents to support progress and behaviour for learning and have overseen the planning and organisation of events for parents. I have consistently met the teacher or UPS standards in everyday teaching and have provided a model of excellent practice in promoting outstanding behaviour for learning .Through my Lesson plans and lesson observations. From folder checking and book sampling checking are consistently judged good with outstanding feedback from book sampling“Regular and timely feedback, students are using this productively to improve their coursework. Good and clear use of both formative and summative assessment which is useful for students with particular learning www.*** ; KS3 History observation evidenced students making good progress. I have promoted high levels of attendance and punctuality and have led the year team in ensuring the consistent application of the whole school behaviour policy also ensured impeccable student behaviour both inside school and in the local community. I have maintained a ‘big picture’ overview of the curriculum within the year group and its contribution to the whole school curriculum; taken a key role in communicating this to parents also led year and whole school assemblies and extra-curricular opportunities to contribute towards student learning and development. I have produced and delivered the year 12 tutorial programme that supports student, academic, social and emotional development . I have provided detailed and systematic data analysis and have scrutinized performance trends, identify interventions needed and implement strategies to close gaps; evaluate the success of intervention strategies. I have also ensured the tutor team is following whole school protocols with regard to responses to data and rewards or sanctions.
