I've performed mainly Improvised Semi Electric Violin for over 15 years. PLayed in national orchestras, bands. Been the cheif sound engineer at my recording studio. and over the past year or so, alongside my teaching, I have managed the New business giving concerts to many artists around Manchester and further affield and also providing a platform for them to Record their work and sell it both online and promoting for Concerts
I have been playing the violin since I was 3 years old. Through my career I have been lucky enough to study with fantastic teachers all over the world. Teaching violin and passing on knowledge is a huge passion of mine. I work with any age and any ability to tackle any goals they want to achieve.
My main focus is on developing a great technique with amazing foundations and a sincere, interesting approach to musicality. Lessons are always fun even if the task at hand of learning the violin is different. I tailor my approach to each individual student, so that we can get the most out of their potential.

British Violinist Sebastian W. completed his MA studies at Liszt Academy Budapest with Banda Adam. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate certificate studies in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with Susanne Stanzeleit. During his time at the conservatoire he won the string prize, Herbert lumby sonata prize, Sheila and Corina hodge memorial prize for violin and piano duo and the Meher Rohi Gazder scholarship from promising violinists. He studied first in Budapest on the Weingarten scholarship and during this time won the first prize Violin and Piano in Leo Weiner competition. In June 2022 he recorded a set of romantic violin works for Hungarian Bartok radio. Sebastian has played at many concert halls as recitalist, soloist and orchestral musician including Manchester bridgewater hall, sage Gateshead, Budapest music centre, zeneakademia nagyterem, birmingham symphony hall, st Mary’s Perivale and Obudai tarsaskor to name a few. He as appeared many times as a concerto soloist most recently performing Glazunov concerto in Leicester with Charnwood Orchestra. He has studied masterclasses with Gyorgy Pauk, Henning Kraggerud, Esther Yoo, Bin Huang, Dmitri Sitkovetsky, Jian Wang and many others. In chamber music over the years Sebastian has worked with Robin Ireland, Marta Gulyas, Magnus Johnstone, Alasdair Beatson and Alexander Baillie. Sebastian has of recent also worked closely with Joszef Lendvay.

I have known Rexleigh B. for many years and have been familiar with her work in my capacity as professor of composition and theory. I have experienced this very competent musician as composer, pianist, conductor and teacher. When she became a doctoral student of mine I became closely acquainted with her creative side and her vast musical talent.
Rexleigh’s versatility across many areas of music is quite unique. She is at home as composer, arranger, pianist, violinist and teacher, having lectured (at times for me) in composition techniques, orchestration, score analysis, aural training, piano and violin.
I have seldom come across someone with as sharp a musical ear as Rexleigh – she is a real musician in the deepest sense of the word. It is very rare indeed to find a musician who embodies so many areas of specialisation and is so accomplished in all of them. She is very fine pianist who performs as a soloist but more frequently as an accompanist.
Rexleigh’s first love is in the field of creative work, as it is a vehicle to express her imagination and to optimise her technical and musical prowess. She has produced successful ensemble results with beginner violinists and school choirs, conducting tertiary student avant-garde compositions with professional musicians, and as a musical director/conductor of full scale stage musicals, such as Crazy For You, at the State Theatre.
Rexleigh’s area of expertise lies in both the composition field as well as in her written research and she enjoys creating her own libretti in an interdisciplinary manner; her imagination extends into the staging, décor and theatrical realms of theatrical production. In her original work one finds a broad range of aesthetics and musical styles, which reflect her penchant for eclectic and intercultural modalities within the South African environment. She is equally at home in the Western art music realm as she is with light music and more popular songs. She welcomes diverse elements and influences in her work.
To this candidate’s credit, she wrote the entire script and lyrics for her large-scale Stage Musical, The Rainbow’s Child as well as all the stage directions and of course the music. She scored this work for various large ensemble and vocal combinations as an educational journey for her pupils at the National Arts School. Her large-scale work, Requiem for the Living has been a valuable addition to the repertoire of South African contemporary music.
Several years ago we called on Rexleigh to step in to our new Foundation courses at Wits Music Dept in group keyboard teaching and well as group vocal training in a brand new “zero entry level”
course. This was something of an experiment but in Rexleigh’s capable and skilled hands the course
was a resounding success. Her course structure, knowledge of teaching methodologies and brilliance
as an educator resulted in a group of ‘beginners’ and previously disadvantaged students becoming
well equipped in just a year to join the mainstream undergraduate BMus degree class.
I have seen Rexleigh in action with all levels of students – she has taught a 4th year B.Mus class for
me at Wits in analysis and orchestration which proved to be very stimulating and valuable as well as
the 3rd year conducting course. She is optimistic and strongly communicative, while respecting the
efforts of fledgling creators, and encourages her students at all levels to excel and enjoy their
creative activities. Her natural leadership capacity manifests in her ability to inspire and support,
guiding and challenging where needed, in order for her students to reach their full potentials.
It was a pleasure to supervise Rexleigh during her doctoral studies as she is creative and innovative
and produced work of a high standard. She was awarded her DMus in April 2010 with an extremely
good portfolio of Compositions as well as a body of research related to her ongoing interest in
semiotics and symbology. University of Pretoria added Academic Honorary Colours to the list of her
achievements.
On 27 August 2016 I attended the Gala performance of her work Requiem for the Living at the
Linder Auditorium. This was a superb production on all levels, and the cleverly constructed and
powerful music reinforced the dramatic and literary content. A triumph for Rexleigh as a complex
multidisciplinary stage presentation, for which she was also the Artistic Director and Producer.
In recent years Rexleigh has exercised her improvisational capacities, working with an international
cellist called Francois Ha!Man. Their unprepared, live, and musically free, energising improvisations

Recently her composition HOOHA, A Mini-Suite for Clarinet in B flat and piano, won its category
at the International Clarinet Festival and Competition at the University of the Free State. The
Belgian adjudicator has introduced this work to IMF, a French publisher. Her opera, Lost in a
Bluebell Wood is due to receive its premiere in 2021 at the Free State Arts Festival. In addition,
Rexleigh steers several entrepreneurial and humanitarian initiatives including ecological fantasy
games and an online art competition derived from The Rainbow’s Child, via her Public Benefit
Organisation, RFTL, which has taken its name from her composition, Requiem for the Living.
I can without hesitation recommend Rexleigh B. to you as a Director of Music, Head of Music
and/or Head of Performing Arts.

With an enthusiastic and creative character, I specialise in inspiring musical interest from the very beginning. I strive for maximum performance from pupils and have a strong track record in all aspects of musical education. My holistic approach to the subject achieves the highest results under the Royal Schools of Music Exam Board [ABRSM] whilst also keeping the subject light and fun. There will be regular progress reports, sticker rewards each week and medals each term for the most hard-working students. Success is measured on effort, not ability to ensure fairness across the board. Students will have the the opportunity to play at bi-annual concerts at a local venue with my other academy students. Vira won numerous national and international competitions,participated in violin masterclasses with such renown violinists as Z. Bron, O. Parkhomenko, K. Schatz. She had played with Symphony orchestras in Ukraine. She worked in Ivano-Frankivsk Philarmonic Symphony Orchestra from 2019 to 2021 (Ukraine).
She performed as a soloist and chamber musician in such countries as Ukraine, Poland, France, UK, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Spain. She participated in numerous musical festivals "Prykarpatska Vesna", "GogolFest" (Ukraine), "Finca Ustus Franz"(Spain), Landesmusicakademie Ochsenhausen (Germany).
Starting from 2016 she created chamber music progect "Concert-Classic" for performing music with collegues, firstly in Kyiv and after in London. She and team organised around 20 concerts in Ukraine an 2 in London. Project was recognise by Elle l'Ukraine and L'Officiel Hommes.

I am a Creative Vocal/Violist working as a performer and Music Teacher in South London. I am a professional violinist, violist and conductor, studying for a PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge. As a Supervisor in the Faculty of Music, I teach undergraduate music students at Cambridge. I also teach conducting, violin, viola, and chamber music at the Saffron Walden Centre for Young Musicians in Essex. With over nine years of tutoring experience, I also offer private tuition in violin, viola, orchestral conducting, music, music theory, philosophy, history, essay and dissertation skills, english literature, classical civilisation and violin performance.
From the age of 17, I have taught violin and viola to a variety of students, ranging from children and adults beginning their studies, to more advanced performers looking to improve their technical facility and performance skills.
Alongside my MPhil studies at Cambridge, in which I specialised in the cultural history and musical aesthetics of Germany and France in the Long Nineteenth Century, I began working as a freelance academic tutor, and taught Music, History, Philosophy, English Literature, Dissertation Skills, and Classics to A-Level Students. I have since developed two years’ experience, in which I have taught over 900+ hours of educational content with a diversity of tutoring organisations and online education platforms. Approach to Teaching
– I favour a structured approach to teaching. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catered to the student's specific needs. I also inform the design of my classes through a constructive dialogue with my students. This enables me to structure my lessons within a curriculum that meets my students' specific educational needs, and serves to enable my students to achieve tangible improvements in their academic performance and musical ability.
Academic Tuition
– My academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with.
– I employ a seminar style format, in which I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary which my students can use to develop essays, essay plans, revision tools, and exam revision packs.
– I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli.
– I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing short points of rest or temporary closure, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises.
Musical Performance
– Violin lessons tend to be carefully planned to focus on specific technical aspects of performance. To train musicality, I often teach this through the use of Kreutzer and Fiorillo etudes, Dont studies, and also pieces of repertoire catered to the student's musical interests and technical requirements.
– I am open to considering student repertoire suggestions if they are particularly passionate about a certain piece.
Lesson Structure
– Academic lessons tend to be 45–60 minutes in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed.
– Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters for a student's requirements.

I have been playing Violin for 20 years and I have played in various bands of different genres such as Folk/Rock, Klezmer, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical styles. My style of playing and teaching is eclectic and encompasses various styles taught and influenced by classical teachers, tutors at Leeds Music College and fellow band members and music sessions growing up.
I love collaborating with other musicians from different backgrounds and enjoy performing to audiences where I have performed with a dancer and story-teller producing classical and improvised work in schools, libraries, art galleries and festivals.
As well as performance work, I have taught violin for 9 years teaching adults and children of all ages, preparing them for both exam syllabuses ABRSM and Trinity College London exams and gaining good results 100% pass rate! I predominantly teach online now which I believe allows me to offer more learning support to students via audio recordings, bite size help with practice. My students love this and it really helps them keep on track.
I can provide students with the opportunity to learn popular and folk pieces of music too should they wish. I encourage all students to develop their 'musical ear' and to build up knowledge and confidence. I can also train students to improvise depending on their individual interests and where appropriate I can offer accompaniment on my guitar.
As well as teaching ABRSM classical syllabus, I am also taking on students that want to achieve a grade through the new Trinity Digital Classical Grade exams. This exam allows students to upload their video performances and submit their recordings directly to Trinity remotely, providing students full control than seen in other types of face to face exams.
Trinity offers students flexibility and the opportunity to play along with backing tracks from grade 1 up to grade 8 and submit once they are ready. I can offer support and recordings to prepare all students through this process. If you require more information please do send me a message :)

I teach students of all ages and ability levels from ‘absolute beginners’ who may never have picked up a violin, students at ‘novice level’ of all ages who used to play, regret giving it up and are returning to the violin and I also coach and mentor ‘accomplished musicians’ who feel they would benefit from a professional working musician to improve their technical ability or performance technique.
There are so many things that your lessons can involve, from learning new pieces of music, to technical exercises, flowing scales and arpeggios, and playing beautiful duets.
Many of my students just want to play violin for the pure joy or challenge it brings to their life. Others are taking GCSE in music or want to achieve exam gradings from a registered teacher of The Associate Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM). For those who want to broaden their qualifications even further I also take 14-24 year olds through the skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award (Bronze, Silver or Gold).
I have a number of younger students who are on the autistic spectrum and Asperger Syndrome, each with a different and unique personality. Building close relationships with all my students key to getting the best out of them and I have wide experience in making every session fun and enjoyable. My teaching methods are adapted to each student, being sensitive to their needs. Every parent and teacher has noticed marked and continuous improvement in cognitive ability and personality.

London-based Slovenian violinist and composer Katarina K. (born 1993) recently graduated in BMus Composition with a first class honours, and in MMus Performance with distinction. In May 2016 she also gained the Fellowship of the London College of Music award and received the Mona Blackman Scholarship.
Katarina began learning the violin at the age of six and has performed with many different musicians and orchestras all around Europe and Minnesota, USA. She has attended masterclasses and festivals as an active participant with world’s leading professors and won several prizes at international competitions.
Besides being an active concert violinist and performing as first violin in the Belgard String Quartet, she is pursuing a career in film composition, and in violin teaching. Her performance venues include some of the main Slovenian concert halls, as well as St. Barnabas Church in Ealing, Acton Hill Church, Cadogan Hall in London, Tower Bridge Walkways, and performances within the Ealing Film and Music Festival.
As a composer, Katarina’s pieces have been performed by LCM students, the LCM String Ensemble, and in January 2015 her piece ‘The Sixth Element’ for string orchestra was performed at the Gala Concert of the Crescendo Music Festival in Florida. Her piece ‘Tunisian Crochet’, which was premiered by the Camerata orchestra, won the LCM Composition Competition. Katarina recently composed music for Melies’ film Trip to the Moon, including a large symphonic orchestra, for which she received an exceptional mark.
