I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 with a degree in Psychological and Behavioural Science. Currently I work as a research associate for the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Oxford University Hospital Trust (NHS). I am about to start a second degree in Medicine at Cardiff University in September. I've worked both with several companies and privately for the past 5 years tutoring students for Oxbridge admissions, Psychology, Latin/Ancient Greek and admissions aptitude testing (Oxford, Cambridge, UCAT). I have also worked in Hampstead Fine Arts College as a PSHE teacher.
I've been a lecturer in Classics for several Oxford colleges (and the faculty of Classics) since 2017.
In 2020-21, I also worked as Classics Tutor for Winchester College.
In 2016 I obtained a TIAFL certificate (Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language).
I have tutored those with, both physical and, learning disabilities. Growing up with mental health conditions, I am also very equipped to aiding young people who struggle with copious difficulties, regardless of their nature or creation. I am extremely passionate about teaching and tutoring. I feel as though I am the right person to help any child or young person, to reach their full potential.
Online Ancient Greek Tutors
I'm currently an undergrad at Newcastle University, studying the Classics. My passion is for Doctor Who and almost anything to do with classic sci-fi and horror. I'm autistic, diagnosed since the age of 14, and so I have many experiences with other autistics and I frequently helped out with the Special Educational Needs department at my high school/sixth form. I'm a published author of horror short stories, as well as having featured on panels at FantasyCon 2023 and SciFi Weekend 2023, with more stuff in the works. My subjects at A-Level were English Lit. (AQA), Theatre Studies (Edexcel), and Religious Studies (OCR). My high school had an internal mentoring scheme, where I helped 2 GCSE students with their English, the skills for which help with Latin and Greek immensely. For Ancient Greek, I taught a GCSE student from scratch for about 2 years, and as such created resources from scratch and would adjust my lessons on a weekly basis. For Latin, I helped the same student on a regular basis with their Latin, but at A-Level I was also asked by my Head of Classics to help the Y8s who'd joined late in the term by taking them out of lessons and catching them up on thr basic Latin skills they'd have missed. Additionally, my love for Classical languages and English extended to me doing JACT's Durham Summer School between L6 and U6. That, apart from being an enjoyable time in itself and which is highly recommendable, exposed me to a lot of different teaching styles, and gave me great in-depth knowledge of the languages and the culture.

Hi, I'm Sasha! I've been teaching Classics (Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation, Ancient History) for 6 years. I've taught ages 11-18 at school, and have been tutoring since I left school in 2015.
I really care about helping others understand what can be a difficult and complex set of subjects, mostly because I know the joy and satisfaction of getting to grips with them. Whether you're starting out from scratch, getting back into it, or preparing for an exam, I can help you improve your understanding and accuracy of the languages and culture of the ancient world.
I am currently tutoring online outside of school time, but have more availability in school holidays. I am happy to recommend textbooks and other resources, but will not require you to buy anything extra. Please feel free to get in contact, as I am always looking to take on new clients.
I moved to the UK from the USA after completing a Masters degree and www.*** in Classical Philology at Harvard University. My first teaching jobs in the UK were at Winchester College and Westminster School, where I taught GCSE and A-level classes in Greek and Latin.
I have published numerous articles and books on Greek literature while working as a lecturer at the University of Bristol (2007-2011) and Corpus Christi College, Oxford (2011-2016). After the birth of my third child, I stopped lecturing and took a job locally as teacher of Greek and Latin at Pilgrims' Prep School in Winchester.
At the University of Bristol, I taught undergraduates and post graduates, many of whom were Adult learners.
The diversity of my work experience has allowed me to teach from many different textbooks for beginners and intermediates and all of the popular text prescriptions for exams.
I also offer support for university applications to UK and USA universities. I give alumni interviews for Harvard applicants in the Winchester area. I am very skilled in online instruction, but I don't have a Facebook page or personal website. For my publications and academic work, I use my birth name (Hitch), many of which can be found on Google or Amazon.
I have been teaching Latin, Ancient Greek and Classical Civilisation at a secondary school for the last four years. Prior to this, I tutored primary age children in multiple subjects, including Latin, Ancient Greek and Mathematics. I also tutor Mathematics up to GCSE level and have helped many pupils with different learning styles to understand many different concepts.
I believe in teaching in an enjoyable and memorable manner, but one which also keeps the information fresh in the pupil's memory. A range of teaching styles means that I can adapt to a preferred way of learning. I have completed my PGCE and NQT and therefore am a fully qualified teacher. I am an enthusiastic PhD researcher/student in Classics at the University of Cambridge, where I also completed a BA in Classics (grade: First Class Honours) and MPhil in Classics (grade: Distinction; Classical Members’ Essay Prize for the year’s best MPhil theses). I am originally from Italy, where I completed the Italian equivalent of A-Levels in various subjects, including Italian.

I am an extremely patient, empathetic teacher and I tailor my lessons to each individual student. My mission is to get all students to the level required for performing as well as possible in their exams and concretely improve their knowledge of Ancient Greek, Latin, Italian and every topic related to 'Classical Civilisation'.
I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor, and have had previous experience tutoring 11+, as well as ancient languages. I have taught 11+ English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning for both the CSSE and CEM exam boards.
As someone who learned both Latin and Ancient Greek ab initio as part of my university degree and is now proficient in both, I feel I am able to confidently teach the skills that enabled me to learn these languages to students of any but the most advanced level. My name is Ginevra P., I am an italian pianist, accompanist, repetiteur and chamber musician based in Genova, Italy, since the virus pandemic outbrake. I am once again working as official Piano accompanist at the Genova’s Conservatoire N. Paganini, where I am pursuing a certification for teaching Music Education. I have spent the last four years in Birmingham, where I pursued a Master in Music and a post-master course PSP in Piano performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and I am currently looking for opportunities to work as a piano teacher in one to one and ensembles lessons.
My primary Goal as a teacher is to instil and broaden my students’ interest for music and to develop and ensure their music skills to be able to continue in their musical studies. Working hard as a private and scholastic piano teacher for ten years has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences of my life whilst contemporarily allowing me to grow both professionally and as a person. Over the years I taught more than 30 students aged between six and seventy and I have adapted my teaching technique to the specific needs of each individual, considering differences in terms of age, instrumental practice level, music taste and personal Goals. I especially spreading enthusiasm and encouraging patience among them . As an eclectic musician, my passion for many kinds of music and for instilling love and enthusiasm for music in my students are the common and fundamental qualities in my teaching, which provide me with the flexibility to teach different skills to any type of student. I started to play the piano when I was four years old and I have always been deeply passionate about music of any type, from early Baroque to modern Rock and Pop. As a soloist I have been working hard on my self-confidence, an aspect which I continuously strive to instil in my students from a young age. When preparing a performance, my preparation relies on self appraisal skills and on my teacher’s feedback. Moreover, after four years of piano exams, coaching and performances of high quality at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, it is clear to me that the teacher’s belief in their students’ potential and success, thus investing their personal energy, truly is a student’s great fortune. During my piano studies I also focused on chamber music and opera accompaniment, disciplines that require not only musical and pianistic abilities but also strong leadership skills. I believe that leading a group of musicians relates to teaching a group of students: both situations require someone to guide the general Team efforts to good achievements, which makes the difference. This Kind of work can be challenging at times, owing to the increased personal responsibility one bears, not only for the project's musical success but also for its participants and their development, to enable them to give their best in a supportive, yet professional, environment. After several experiences within group projects, I am quietly confident that I possess the qualities which contribute to ensuring a project’s success, amongst the most important ones of which I count enthusiasm, positivity, honesty and calmness. In my opinion, these are also the keywords for a successful student - teacher relationship. The most important thing I have learnt in my carreer yet is how fundamental it is to keep a focus on my commitment to continued learning. I enjoy continuously engaging with my professional development; the music world offers so many facets of which I would like to explore as many as possible with the aim of helping me become the most well-rounded and versed musician I can be, which will translate into being a more valuable teacher to my students. The aim of my piano studies is to increase my musical insight, my technical abilities and my interpretative approach, always looking for a deeper understanding of music in general, and of the pieces I play in particular. This attitude is necessary for a leader position such as teacher, because it pushes me to do the best I can and it transmits my dedication and passion to my students. Next to the piano practice, I spend much of my time studying the areas related to the music I play or simply enjoy, including history, philosophy, physics and classic literature. I am confident to say that knowledge will always enhance the musical qualities of any student. I would argue that a good teacher has to encourage each student to find personal connections between their music and their interests, guiding both their personal and interpretative growth. I think that this kind of ‘research study’, combined with technical practice, represents successful professional development both for the student and the teacher. I am a hard worker, and my teachers, such as Jan Loeffler and Pascal Nemirovski, have called me competent, empathetic and enthusiastic, all of which I would consider relevant qualities for teachers in a an environment of young students.
