- The student (or student’s parent) will then be asked to sign a contract, outlining the terms and conditions.

My name is Alessia, I'm Italian and I've been studying languages almost all my life! My teaching career has started in Japan a few years ago, where I have worked as an English and Italian language teacher for children from 3 to 15 years old. I love teaching and making my classes fun and entertaining, using music, games and subjects that my students love. I am very passionate about literature and cooking! I've also taught Italian cooking to Japanese housewives in my time in Japan.
I am currently working mainly online as an English teacher for children with Brownie English School, in Okazaki, Japan - and giving private classes to professionals who want to learn www.*** ;
I have been a secondary school teacher in an Inner London School for 9 years. I also had 2 years of private tutoring experience with individual students and groups. I excel at getting my students motivated and really nurturing self esteem in more shy learners. Most of all the learning experience needs to be fun so I make sure that the essential repetition never gets boring!
A trusted community of teachers and mentors that inspire kids of all ages to find the wonder in the world's diverse subject areas, working together to enhance learning and development, both in school and beyond classroom doors.
Founded on a unique philosophy towards children's learning and development, we are a community of tutors and mentors who harness the true potential of our students and bring each of our subjects to life.
We believe that building a trusting relationship with the families we work with allows us to foster a genuine passion for the subjects we teach and a love of learning in our students. We have extensive experience teaching in some of the UK’s top schools and offer unparalleled insight into and each and every stage of our students’ development.
We believe that being taken under the wing of a truly inspirational figure can have untold beneficial effects in a young person’s life, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Being guided by someone who has achieved great things in their life provides a goal for children to aspire towards. At a time when they are so impressionable, the motivation, passion and enthusiasm which can be instilled by an inspirational teacher have long-lasting and fundamental benefits.
We work with a community of highly motivated professionals from a large variety of disciplines. The common factor is that they are all highly successful and are passionate about the subjects they teach. Instilling this passion in students is the reason that they got into teaching, and as such we value our tutors hugely. Connecting these tutors with families that will reap the benefits of their expertise and with students that will thrive working with them is our core focus, and is a truly rewarding experience for all of us at Pegasus.

A little bit about me:
I was born in a Welsh family in Italy, my dad is from Rome and my mom is from Cardiff, meaning I am fully www.*** ;
I completed my studies in Italy, graduating with a high grade at “La Sapienza” in ‘French & English Linguistics, Literature, Culture and Translation’. After that I moved to Barcelona, where I waited tables and formed my Spanish www.*** ;
Over there I met my mentor whom trained me to become an actor. I moved to the www.*** , applied and attended Drama Studio London which lasted one whole year. Hereafter I’ve been working as a voice-over www.*** ;
My background is quite multicultural: I lived across Europe for the past 10 years (Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, Rome).
For the last two years, I’ve been tutoring students, both underage and adults, in four different languages, it’s how I’ve earned my living so far. One of my latest employments has been helping a 7-year-old girl with her homeschooling, English and Maths, back in Rome! Italy was in "zone red" and so I went to her house for three weeks and looked after her learning.
My approach to teaching students is rather specific: I attentively listen to the student's needs, I reckon it is the best way to learn successfully. As tutors we must emphasize, it’s not just about the grammar or the pronunciation, it’s a life coaching experience through language. It’s boosting confidence, it’s planting the seeds of research and self-love in students, it’s shaping their independence.
I’ve always tailored my classes accordingly, some students preferred a more playful approach whilst others wanted to stick to a more academic approach. I feel lucky to have trained as an actor: it gave me the competence and the flexibility that is paramount in the teaching www.*** ;
I also love new challenges and I am at a stage in my life where I want to make an impact, to help people who struggle improve their general www.*** ;
I’ve already got a DBS check and I am TEFL certified. Plus, I've successfully completed an “SEN course”, accredited by the Academy for www.*** ;
All of my students love me, and this has been the perfect feedback: I come to class or to any session with a bright smile, a positive energy and a lot of focus, I love teaching and helping those in need, it rewards me deeply. Skills such as problem solving and attentive listening I have gathered over the years. But I’d like to state that I love learning as well and I reckon it is key to be an efficient teacher: I am genuinely so ready to learn more and more each day, and to give back what I know to whomever needs it! A teacher is a mentor, a teacher shapes the new generation, it wants to inspire and guide our youth.
Thank you for reading thus far!
French, Italian and biology lessons in London, UK.
My name is Elena and as you can guess I’m Italian but I’ve been living in London for the past 6 and a half years. I have a Diploma of Higher education in Musical Theatre, and a level 5 320 TEFL Diploma. I have been teaching Italian (as a second language), General English and Business English to different age groups and levels for the past 3 years. Before becoming a teacher, I used to work in sales, customer service and administration so if you need help with improving your English for work purposes, I can help you with www.*** ; I love teaching because I have the chance to meet new people and get to know more about different cultures. But the most important thing for me is to help non-native speakers to improve their English skills and achieve their goals. I know from my own experience how difficult learning a new language is especially a language like English which is mainly based on phonetics. For example, people whose language derives from roman roots such as French, Spanish, Italian, struggle with English because unlike other languages, the way words are written doesn’t correspond to the way they are pronounced. That’s why I think students should really focus on listening and pronunciation. I think that being Italian, gives me an advantage as an English teacher since I can share with you some tips to overcome these issues. In terms of my teaching style, I tailor the lesson to the individual students since I think that every student is unique and has a different learning style. I like to teach using authentic material such as podcasts, YouTube videos, newspaper articles and adverts because I think this is the best way to get in contact with real functional English used in everyday life. I also create my own material, always personalized to the students using PowerPoint presentation which I share with the student before or after the lesson. During the trial we’ll have a conversation to get to know each other and I will ask you some questions about your goals. This will give me an idea about your level and about what I will include in our lessons. So, I’m hoping to meet you soon and start our our journey together!
