The Kumon Caterham Study Centre opened in 2013 and caters for all age groups, with students at the centre currently aged from pre-school through to high school. Our aim is to start our students on the path to success, whether they require further support to succeed academically or are seeking an additional challenge so they can fulfil their potential. Our students can arrive at a convenient time between the centre’s opening times, whilst each child spends an average of 30 - 50 minutes in the centre, once a week, depending on if they are studying one or both subjects. Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we help them develop the skills to work independently and foster in them a 'can-do' attitude when faced with new and unfamiliar work. With the help of the Instructor and her assistants, our students develop in knowledge and concentration, and grow in confidence. On the programme, your child will begin at a comfortable starting point based on their current ability, and will gradually move through the levels as they master each concept. We motivate our students by giving them lots of support and encouragement. |
