I have been a teacher for over 15 years, with both my training and classroom teaching experience ranging from KS1 to KS4. My recent teaching experience has been based in KS2 with additional responsibility for maths. I have tutored children in both KS1 and KS2, successfully boosting their self-esteem and enabling marked progress in their learning of maths and literacy. With my creative approach, I am able to identify the specific ways in which the individual child learns. I tap into their own interests, with good humour, to support them in growing and deepening their understanding in the areas they need support with most. This approach means the children I tutor look forward to their sessions; they want to learn and want to engage in the activities which supports them in achieving their potential.
