I am a friendly but demanding private tutor with a fund of real-life stories to bring science to life! I start from where the student is and find their learning style. Then we can approach the concepts and vocabulary in a way that is relevant and targeted. I use online and paper-based exercises to reinforce the essential core knowledge. Past paper practice is essential but not sufficient to succeed.
My tutoring is questioning, methodical and supportive so that the student can achieve their true potential. It is based on more than 10 years of classroom practice in both the state and private sectors and fifteen years of one-to-one science tutoring at A-level...all exam boards.
I prefer to tutor online.
My message to students is that there will be a learning style that works for you. Let's find it and I'll help you achieve success!

Tuition is available for A Level Physics, GCSE Physics, GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Science. KS3 Science is also offered.
Tuition is given in 1 hour sessions
Tuitions sessions provided online through the Google Meet platform.
A typical session will involve a short review of previous work and a mix of explanation, verbal questions and exam-style questions to check understanding. Students will complete work during the session using Google Jamboard. This approach will be changed where the tutor judges this is necessary for the ideas being covered or to meet the needs of the Student.
Students may need to print questions so they will need access to a printer.

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor, examiner and writer. I offer stimulating and enjoyable lessons via video call which build upon each student's strengths to enable them to overcome their difficulties with greater confidence. I find tutoring immensely rewarding and strive to help all my students meet their full potential regardless of their ability. I have experience teaching SEN students, particularly those with autism, dyslexia and manual difficulties. To date I have had 100% pass rate and all of my students have achieved grades 9-4 (A*- C). I am a member of the Tutors Association and have a current DBS Enhanced certificate .
I understand fully the advantages and disadvantages of studying from home as I have gained all of my qualifications through distance learning, including my PhD. I also home schooled my son from the age of 4-16. I have been a judge of the BBC Radio 2 '500 Words' children's short story competition and a volunteer for the National Literacy Trust's "Summer Reading Challenge" for children. I have a research interest in Thomas Hardy and write poetry and English study guides.

I am 37 years of age and have more than 11 years of teaching experience. A dynamic, ambitious and hard-working teacher with experience in state and independent school systems across the age range from Reception to KS4. With 7 years’ experience as the Head of Mathematics in an Independent school (London) and 11+ years’ experience as a Mathematics Teacher with proven records of helping children progress, providing positive learning experiences, effective behaviour management systems, the highest standards of pastoral care and inspiring the Gifted and Talented and SEND pupils. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated negotiating and organising skills with a firm sense of responsibility and capacity to work hard under pressure.
I have more than 11 years experience of tutoring pupils of all ages. I enjoy tutoring and am considered to have a caring approach and I try to make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation. When tutoring, I find it very important to allow the student to feel confident in their work using lots of praise. It is important that the student feels they can get something wrong, so long as they try. This helps me to find out any misconceptions they might have, so I can re-teach any topics they may need refreshing. I ensure children are challenged age appropriately, and support learners to gain confidence when they are back in the classroom. I am able to work at home or in the pupil's home (happy to travel up to 5 miles from my home) and am currently available evenings and week-ends.

Hi! I’m a friendly and committed tutor with A-Level grades of AAA in English Literature, History, and Psychology, and I’m currently studying Law at the University of Liverpool. Having completed my A-Levels not too long ago, I have a fresh and in-depth understanding of the current curriculum, exam techniques, and what examiners are really looking for.
I’ve also gained valuable experience tutoring in schools, helping students of different abilities boost their confidence and improve their academic performance. I tailor my sessions to each individual, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, building essay-writing skills, or refining revision strategies.
I know how overwhelming exams can feel, but with the right support and approach, real progress is possible. I’m here to help you not only reach your target grades but also feel more confident and capable in your studies.

I cover:
Acting through song, improvisation, screen acting, micro-expressions, monologue work, script analysis, audition preparation, exam preparation, Meisner Technique, Stanislavski Technique
I have trained in acting for 10 years, singing for 9 years and dance for 8 years, my primary style being Ballroom and Latin, followed closely by Musical Theatre. Please contact me with any questions.
I'm a young adult who is currently navigating my way through the screen acting realm.
I had 1-2-1 acting training for 8 years completing many LAMDA exams, but have been acting for 10 years. Amongst this, I began private singing lessons 9 years ago, focusing on musical theatre and classical repertoire. Not only this, 8 years ago I began Ballroom and Latin dance classes and I now compete nationally as well as teaching . I guess you could say I'm a bit of an old soul!
Overall I just adore helping others achieve their full potential, and ensuring that they feel confident within themselves.

French Interpreter with the British Army, deployed to Estonia in September 2021 for a 9 month tour as part of NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup, serving alongside the French Army as an interpreter for the 400-strong British contingent.
Studied French and Arabic at university for a four year degree in Modern Langauges. One year was spent in the northern French town of Valenciennes, near Lille. This was a town with real culture and history and allowed me to make the most of my surroundings and started my inseparable love of all things French and the French language.
More recently deployed to France as interpreter for UK's 3 Armoured Division on Exercise ORION, the largest exercise held on French territory since the Cold War.
I'm passionate about French and teaching it with a degree of pateince and imagination that I never seemed to get when I studied it! Get in touch for a structured lessons or an informal chat.
Whether preparing for an exam or needing a military French course, I'm a tutor for you.

Is your child falling behind in GCSE Spanish? Worried that their Spanish grades are below their other subjects? Unsure what they need to do to get back on track?
I help students get back on track in GCSE Spanish using the most streamlined route, so they can achieve grade 8-9 without feeling overwhelmed. So that they can get the grade they deserve and thrive in education to have options for their future inside or outside of education. I guide students through my tested 5-step methodology to master the skills needed for success in GCSE Spanish and beyond.
My programmes are for you if you are:
- in Year 10 or Year 11 studying GCSE Spanish
- a dedicated student aiming for top grades (8-9)
- feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by Spanish at the moment, and unsure what you need to do to improve your grade
- lacking the necessary support in the classroom
- willing to put in 2 hours a week to work on your Spanish
About Me:
I have an Honours Degree in Spanish & French from the University of Exeter, and a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition (aka. how people learn foreign languages) from the University of Oxford.
I have been tutoring and helping students get the top grades in languages for over 5 years now.
I love to see my students grow in confidence, excel in Spanish, and become empowered learners who thrive in education.
I have seen lots of students struggle in GCSE languages, and I strongly believe that the thing that makes the biggest difference to struggling students is having a plan.
You don't have to struggle through on your own. When students are attending lessons and doing their homework but something just isn't clicking and their grades start falling behind their other subjects, they are simply missing the tools they need to be successful in this subject.
Spanish is a skill, and has to be learned differently from other subjects. The longer they try and struggling along on their own, the more catch up they eventually need to do.
I want to help students get through their GCSE years in one piece. So I will find the most streamlined path to success for you, and equip you with the tools you need to access the top grades in Spanish.
