No previous programming experience is necessary. Tuition is available both locally (Newmarket and Cambridge area) and nationally (via Skype, Zoom or similar, using screen sharing).
For A-level and GCSE students, I produce a comprehensive spreadsheet to keep track of their progress - listing each part of the course syllabus, including my own notes on the topics and links to relevant resources. I also maintain a number of YouTube playlists of videos relevant to the courses.
I have been tutoring since 2015, during which time I have tutored over 200 students at all levels.
I have written articles on game development for Wireframe magazine - e.g. Coding Space Invaders’ disintegrating shields, and was a major contributor to Code the Classics, published by Raspberry Pi Press.

I am a qualified Secondary Science teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 13. As Head of Physics for 10 years, I was deeply involved in developing schemes of work, designing effective revision strategies, and creating high-quality resources to support learning. Additionally, my experience as a board examiner has given me valuable insight into common exam pitfalls and what mark schemes are really looking for; knowledge that I use to help my students maximise their marks.
After tutoring alongside my teaching role for several years, I launched Huntingdon Science Tutoring in 2024 to provide expert Science tuition to students locally, across the UK, and worldwide. My tuition service is designed to be personalised, engaging, and confidence-boosting, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.
I take great pride and enjoyment in creating high-quality, tailored resources that address each student’s specific needs, whether that’s stretching high achievers aiming for top grades or supporting students with EBSA who require a more nurturing approach. My lessons are structured, interactive, and carefully designed to bridge knowledge gaps and build confidence.
In addition to 1:1 tuition, I also offer small-group sessions, both online and in-person, as a more affordable option. These sessions provide the benefits of peer collaboration, shared problem-solving, and interactive discussions, while still ensuring that every student receives expert guidance and targeted support from me. Small-group tuition helps build confidence, improves communication skills, and allows students to learn from each other’s questions and perspectives. Hello! My name is Tamara and I am a primary teacher from Toronto, Canada. I have been living and teaching in the UK since 2015. I have taught Foundation Stage, Year 1, Year 2, Year 4/5 as well as covered across all other year groups in KS2. I also have experience teaching Functional Skills Maths to adults 16-21. Alongside teaching, I have been tutoring for the past 8 years across all primary year groups as well as secondary year groups. I absolutely love teaching and believe that children learn best when their interests are considered. Hello, my name is Anna! I am a graduate from the University of Cambridge with an MSci in Natural Sciences (I specialised in Chemistry, and my masters was in Surface Science).
I am passionate about teaching science and maths, as from experience, I have found some explanations of concepts hard to grasp due to specific terminology and/or notations. However, I also believe that with the right explanation, anyone can understand scientific concepts, no matter how complex they first appear.
I am a flexible, student led tutor - I am happy to be approached with a specific topic for a one off session, or run more generic revision sessions to help you feel prepared for your assessments!

Hello - Geography is my passion and I have been on a mission throughout my career to instill that passion and enthusiasm with the students I have taught.
I have a wide and deep experience of teaching secondary Geography and am vastly experienced in consultancy and advisory work on teaching and learning generally. An Oxford graduate in Geography and former Head of Department and school leader, I have also developed expertise in online tutoring over these recent unprecedented times. Originally, I am from Germany, but I have lived and studied in the UK for almost 5 years now. I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature, where I was awarded a prize for having achieved the highest marks in my year, and a Master’s in Comparative Literature.
