I have taught boys and girls in secondary schools (boarding and day, single-sex and co-ed), and have tutored pupils from Y5 upwards. In a school environment I have taught the top year (Y6) in a primary school, and all tiers of secondary school (including GCSEs, A-Levels, and the International Baccalaureate). I have also tutored pupils preparing for Common Entrance exams and scholarship exams.
I think tuition sessions benefit from incorporating as much variety as possible, including vocabulary-picture association in memory games, translation work, grammar exercises, and (if required) the solid staple of vocabulary tests. I can provide tuition across the full spectrum of age and ability, from those facing particular challenges with their learning to assisting gifted students seeking to extend their studies. I always provide an updated 'Scheme of Work' to both pupil and parents after each session, so that everyone is clear what the targets are and what has been achieved.
Please note that lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate. Lessons cancelled between 24-48 hours beforehand will be charged at 50% of the full rate.

I am a dedicated Physical Education teacher with extensive experience working in schools across West Sussex. As a former moderator for AQA, I have a deep understanding of the latest GCSE PE curriculum, ensuring my students receive the most up-to-date and effective guidance.
My tutoring style is approachable, down-to-earth, and tailored to the unique needs of each student. I believe that creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment is essential for success, especially at the GCSE level. With a good sense of humour and a focus on building rapport, I help students feel confident and motivated in their learning journey.
I have a particular passion for teaching subjects like physiology, psychology, and biomechanics within sport and physical education. My approach revolves around setting clear, concise learning objectives and using evidence-based techniques, such as Bloom’s taxonomy, to deepen understanding and enhance student progress. I’m highly skilled at differentiating instruction—whether it’s through questioning techniques, feedback, or adapting to individual learning styles. My focus is always on maximizing student growth and ensuring they reach their full potential.
In addition to exam preparation, I offer structured support in academic writing, guiding students on how to construct reflective and analytical essays in PE. This ensures they can confidently express their understanding of complex concepts. Whether you need help mastering biomechanics, improving academic writing, or understanding the psychology behind sport performance, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

My approach to teaching is to make learning fun, meaningful and accessible for all regardless of ability.
I believe every child has the capability to achieve and it is the responsibility of the teacher to bring out the best in their students.
I adopt a student centred approach to teaching. I believe each student is unique so therefore teaching strategies need to be adapted to meet the needs of each student. I have 13 years experience with tutoring students from aged 6-18 years old. I have experience tutoring students with autism, learning difficulties and selective mutism.
I am also a Primary/Secondary/Sixth Form teacher. My specialism is: Primary English, Primary Maths, GCSE Sociology and A level Psychology.
I have also been an AQA Psychology Examiner for the past 5 years.
I can provide range of creative, interactive resources online to support to students.
I use a resource called Microsoft Team which allows video call facility and instant messenger. This allows the student to have access to instant feedback and also virtual face to face lessons. Students also receive online certificates that they can print off at home.

I am a Modern Foreign Languages Graduate with several years of experience teaching both French and Spanish to A level (AQA and EDEXCEL). I am used to working with a wide range of students from lower to higher ability and have an open and direct approach to teaching and learning.
After working as an Au-Pair in France and spending a year teaching in Spain I went onto work in business as a Spanish Market Analyst. Throughout my career in Publishing, I frequently used French and Spanish whilst presenting or in international business negotiations. I speak French and Spanish fluently and Spanish on a daily basis and believe that languages are essential in today's working environment - not just as a communication tool but to better understand different cultures and societies.
At present, I teach in a Grammar School across all key stages.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello! I'm a music teacher with 5 years of experience and I specialise in harmony/theory, composition, and jazz improvisation. Whether you/ your child is a complete beginner, or you're a professional musician looking to 'add more musical ingredients to the cupboard', or anywhere inbetween, I'd love to hear from you so we can sort out a free taster lesson.
If you are completely new to music, the piano/keyboard (or the drums) is the best place to start. The layout of the keyboard forms the basis for our understanding of harmony and theory, without which, learners of instruments (other than drums) will be at a significant disadvantage.
Things I can help with:
- inspiring young beginners to take up music-making, with a joyful, creative and holistic approach.
- electric bass (bass guitar) lessons, beginner to intermediate
- saxophone lessons, beginner to advanced
- provide a method and structure to beginner/intermediate students looking to take the next step with piano, saxophone, or electric bass
- inspire teens and adults to delve into the world of music with no prior experience
- help intermediate - advanced pianists develop better technique, up to grade 8 level
- provide a comprehensive training in jazz harmony, advanced rhythm, classical composition, songwriting, or improvisation
Things I can't help with:
- Diploma-level classical piano
- Advanced virtuoso electric bass
- Forcing students to learn things they are not interested in
- Forcing students to try to play things they are not yet ready for
- Someone who is looking for the traditional 'strict piano teacher' who doesn't let you choose your own music, punishes you for making mistakes, and has a rigid teaching style that is not adapted to each student

I am a professional instructor of martial arts with decades of experience and a creator of program Dancefight.
I could run for your school a workshop or a regular after school class. I have a two programs which could be interesting for you: 1. Systema is a non-violent, liquid martial arts system based on being relaxed and flowing. It encourages sensitivity and deep understanding of body-mechanics rather than a ‘hard’ approach. I focus on conflict management and especially stress control which can be helpful in a learning environment. The children tend to gain in self-confidence and fitness which tends to lead to other learning benefits and respect.
2. Dancefight synergizes two ancient arts of movement: Dance and Martial Arts. It focus’ on the build up a responsive vital body, which is able to flow. It aims on developing our sensitivity to react on others and feel the flow of kinetic energy (bodywave). This wave naturally breaks down crystalised tissue and makes our bodies smoother and easier to move.
Keeping our bodies liquid out of our comfort zone improves your vitality, sharpens your mind and body.
Knowledge and experience of coping in stressful situations is helpful to pupils not just in conflict situations, but in playing sports, dancing, learning or any stressful situation.
