I have been teaching French and Spanish for over 25 years, in secondary schools, adult education courses and business companies. I have also implemented and developed a Latin GCSE course in my local school, which has been thriving for 25 years. I am experienced in teaching all levels up to advanced for French and A'level for Spanish and Latin.
I welcome learners from all academic and cultural backgrounds, all ages and abilities; I am just keen to share my linguistic skills!
I am a Modern Foreign Languages Graduate with several years of experience teaching both French and Spanish to A level (AQA and EDEXCEL). I am used to working with a wide range of students from lower to higher ability and have an open and direct approach to teaching and learning.
After working as an Au-Pair in France and spending a year teaching in Spain I went onto work in business as a Spanish Market Analyst. Throughout my career in Publishing, I frequently used French and Spanish whilst presenting or in international business negotiations. I speak French and Spanish fluently and Spanish on a daily basis and believe that languages are essential in today's working environment - not just as a communication tool but to better understand different cultures and societies.
At present, I teach in a Grammar School across all key stages.

I`m a French bi-lingual (French native) opera singer currently based in Brighton. I teach French and English privately (my youngest students are 3, and the eldest 50+ !) and I`m happy to teach online or in person (max 10 mile radius from Brighton).

I see languages as something alive, therefore, my lessons will immerse my students in a fun, dynamic and interactive environment where learning languages will always be a pleasure, not a task. With me you will learn about both the language and the culture of the different Spanish speaking countries. I can teach Spanish to any level, from academic, to Spanish for holidays or for business people. Salut! I am an experienced teacher and tutor of French currently based in Haywards Heath and working in Crowborough. The French language and culture are my life-long passion and I have spent almost two decades sudying the language, travelling and working in French speaking countries and maintaining friendships with native French speakers. I know from teaching French in a large comprehensive secondary school that a lot of students in the UK have anxiety about learning languages and I see it as my role to turn this around. With me, you will get what you need to pass your exam but, more importantly, you will gain confidence and have fun while doing so.

I have a lot of experience in language acquisition, and will be able to help you achieve your language goals in English, French or Spanish at any level. My background is very diverse, and I have lived in Chile, France, South Korea, Spain, and Kazakhstan over the course of my life, gaining an understanding of the linguistic structures and grammatical rules of 6 languages throughout the process. I am thus very well equipped to teach you how to understand grammar in simple terms, and I have a wealth of experience with regard to memorising vocabulary.
After achieving a grade of 40/45 in the IB, I began a degree in BA French and Philosophy at UCL, graduating with first class honours and spending a year studying French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris under some of the greatest minds in the field. I then taught English for a year in South Korea, during which time I gained a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) qualification after only having studied the language for 5 months, and acquired significant expertise in working with students of all levels. I then moved to Barcelona to complete my masters degree, before completing an exchange in Kazakhstan, where I did field research with Russian draft-dodgers for an award-winning masters dissertation that has since been published. My English language writing skills are excellent, and I have a wealth of knowledge on foreign affairs, global history and literature across a number of languages.
