I am a Science teacher based in Liverpool and have been teaching for 3 years. I teach GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and have experience with both AQA Trilogy and Synergy specifications. I offer tutoring for GCSE Science and AS/A-Level Biology via online sessions. Sessions are tailored to the individual student's needs to meet their goals and build confidence in tackling the content.
Sessions are taught via Skype/Google Meet using a shared screen Powerpoint which is also provided to students at the end of each session. The focus of each session is knowledge recap, improving exam technique using a range of exam-style questions as well as addressing concerns about learning time that has been lost during the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuring students are prepared once they return to the classroom.

My name is Rachael and I am a qualified primary teacher with 15 years’ experience. I have a passion for encouraging a love of learning. I believe that if a child enjoys what they are learning then they will be motivated to listen, participate and ultimately achieve. I have a wide variety of experience working with SEND children and I understand that not everyone learns in the same way. Teaching is about adapting your strategies to meet the needs of the individual. As a mum of two children with ASD I fully comprehend the stress and pressures that are put upon parents to engage their children in learning. In addition to my work with SEND children I have a great deal of experience tutoring children in preparation for their exams, whether that is SATs or the 11+.
