I graduated from Zhujiang College of South China Agricultural University with a Bachelor's. Later, I pursued a Master's in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Liverpool. Now, I'm eager to use my knowledge to assist students.
I've always been very passionate about music, I started playing guitar when I was 12 and sang at various events through my childhood. I took a break from music at age 14 as other things interested me at the time, but rediscorvered this passion at 17 and have been deeply engaged with it since. In 2019, I wrote, produced and released my debut album "The Mindless Machine" and then moved to the UK to study music. I graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in 2022 where I studied songwriting and production and graduated with a high 2/1. I would love to share my knowledge of guitar and vocals with anyone who is looking to learn and believe I can help anyone improve their abilities in these fields regardless of age or skill level.
Since graduating from the Univeristy of Liverpool with a degree in Popular Music I have been privately tutoring in guitar and vocals. I am very passionate about teaching guitar and vocals and I am eager to pass on my experience in order to help each student reach the very best of their abilities. Each lesson is different and will always be personalised to each individual student to cater to the specific needs. Now I do all my lessons on line , either by Skype , Zoom or any other equivalent .It is cheaper for the pupil, no travelling, so no fuel used, and easier all round as the timings can be changed easily on either side, to suit any sudden problems.
I teach reading music as a given , right from the beginning. Either classical or acoustic but no specific styles, i. e. country, folk , blues etc. No, I will teach you to play properly with tutor books and additional material and with the knowledge gained you will eventually be able to play in whatever style suits you, but I will not teach a style at the lesson.
Having 60 books of guitar music published in 5 different publishers , and having played, arranged, transcribed and written all forms of guitar music since my teens , I am uniquely equipped to teach anyone whether a beginner, or an advanced player or any level in between.
I am often asked to transcribe unpublished classical guitar recordings onto sheet music which I will do happily for a fee, should anyone be interested.
I now have my own classical guitar sheet music and CD review site at www.allclassicalguitar.co.uk and so my working life is completely music based.

One of the great joys of playing an instrument is to become able to capture the emotive force that the artistes you so admire can evoke.
Discover how they do it. What scales they use, how they create their sublime musical phrases, what their vibrato is like, what ornamentation they favour...
No doubt you want to get a foot in the door fast.
Learn some power chords and play along with your favourite records in the first lesson.
Don't feel abashed about lacking any previous experience. It's not neccessary. I've taken many adult total beginners up to public performance level.
Music theory, Rock, Pop, Acoustic Guitar and Bass Grades.
You don't have to do them but it's nice to be able to guage your progress and if you're hoping to do a GCSE in music or go to a music college being able to show your credentials can be essential to getting an audition.
My students have a 100% pass rate across 30 years.

Having taught music privately for over a decade whilst also furthering my own education, I have worked with students of various ages and abilities. Whether it is primary school students picking up an instrument for the first time, helping a sixth form student with their application to a music school or an adult who is looking to round out their playing, I am able to structure lessons to whatever the student’s needs are.
I have a formal music education, graduating from The Academy Of Contemporary Music in 2016 with a BA Honours Music Performance degree under tutors such as Giorgio Serci and Frank Tontoh, with experience of a wide variation of musical situations that I use to inform my teaching such as: big band jazz orchestra (NYJO), musical theatre, pop/rock groups, solo instrumentalist, lounge singer, classical/contemporary vocal accompaniment, live event manager and studio engineer assistant.
With my education and experience, I am a great teacher for students at any stage of their musical journey. I love seeing students progress and take particular pleasure when students carry on learning even after our lessons have finished (when they may to go university for example).

Hello! I'm Freya B., i'm 17 year old musician from the UK. I have played guitar for just over 10 years now, I studied music BTEC for 2 years and achieved Distinction * + Distinction Level 2 in the course. I have around 5 years of live music experience playing with a handful of bands across the country on a rosta of musicians. I have also currently been kindly selected to be a part of Gibson Guitars 2 year G3 scheme after applying last year which is a course to assist younger musicians within the industry starting out. I have always been passionate about music. That passion has allowed me to travel the world, and I have met the greatest friends I could have hoped for all because of our shared interest in music. I have shared stages and conversations with my hero’s and the transferable skills I have learned from studying music have meant that I have always found employment. I have vast teaching experience, I currently hold a full-time role teaching music production at the undergraduate level on the Popular Music Performance Course at Leeds Arts University. Previous teaching experience has included; Peripatetic instrument tuition (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele & Drums) at KS3, running creative software and computing workshops within Apple retail from Primary-age up to adults, and vocational workshops in audio production through the West Yorkshire police community fund.
