I currently work in a secondary school in the West Midlands and have been teaching all 3 disciplines for many years. I am a very experienced teacher with an excellent record of pupil acheivement. I believe that any pupil can do well and make excellent progress if they are taught not only the correct knowledge and content for the exam board but also the skills needed to answer GCSE questions in the exam. I attend exam board hub meetings regularly and keep up to date with any changes and recommendations from previous examinations. This information is crucial to pass on to pupils so that they know what the exam questions are asking and how to create a response which will score maximum marks in their examination. I am very organised and enjoy planning creative activities which ensure maximum progress for pupils.

Having worked as a tutor for over 5 years, I have a wealth of experience in various exam boards and subjects. I believe lessons should be engaging and interesting for both the student and tutor, in order to facilitate the best learning experience. Normally, I like to use exam-style questions in order to gauge the student’s knowledge and work on their weaker topics, enabling them to answer questions confidently and clearly- gaining higher marks.
A lot of students could be excellent at a subject, if they are properly engaged. As someone who is passionate about tutoring and equally wants your child to do well, your child will enjoy their lesson whilst learning key tips to ace their exams. There is no room for lengthy explanations, dull note-taking or constant listening in my lessons.
As a child, I remember hating certain subjects because the teacher made the lesson really boring and unengaging. After independent study at A-Level and university, I realised how interesting some topics were and the importance of keeping students interested, which essentially means being interested as a tutor yourself.

Hi, my name is Danny and I'm currently a fourth-year medical student at Aston University. I’m excited to share a bit about myself and how I can help students with their GCSE studies in either maths, physics, chemistry.
I achieved an A* in maths chemistry and physics at GCSE level and an A in maths at A level. I’ve had tones of experience tutoring family members and friends on their journeys and would like to help others now as well.
Having someone to guide your children can make all the difference. I’m here to help them do well in their exams and truly enjoy the learning process. I believe that a strong foundation in maths and chemistry opens so many doors. I was a sceptic when it came to being tutored however this was very necessary and I’m thankful to my parents for making that decision, as I was able to get a 7 in English which I initially struggled with. This grade wouldn’t have been possible without a tutor. It was vital for allowing me to go on to study medicine, as every grade counts.
As a medical student, I've spent countless hours mastering complex subjects. I know how challenging GCSE topics can be, but I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can excel. My journey has taught me effective study techniques that I’d love to pass on to students.
If you're looking to provide support for your children in their GCSE studies, I’d love to work with them! Together, we can tackle any challenges they’re facing and make learning enjoyable.
The most important things about my lessons is being interactive and allowing the student to be heard. So every lesson will have learning objectives and further learning points.
To begin the lesson we will go through the homework that is set and any difficulties they had in the previous lesson. This is to assess the students active recall of information.
Next the theory work will be done on a PowerPoint outlining the principles needed to excel in the next part in the next part of the lesson being practical learning.
Practical learning for all the subjects I will tutor will include exam questions. I believe this to be the best way for students to learn and is very reliable as this is what the exams they are sitting will contain.
To end the lesson, we will discuss what we will do next lesson and what the homework that is set will be about.
I think progress is really important and a lesson report after every lesson will be made available for parent view. If out of request a personalised what went well, even better if and next lesson we will cover format. This will allow the parent to understand the weakness and strengths identified each lesson.
Finally to ensure a student is engaged with learning I feel it’s very important to be empathetic with things that are difficult. As well as this, praising when the student asks questions. These are a couple of the many ways to motivate a student to learn effectively. I can’t wait to help students of all levels excel in their academics.

I encourage all my students to be the very best that they can be in each and every subject i teach. Maximising potential to reach goals by all the experience I have gained in the last 25 years is my aim. Every student is an individual that learns at their own pace. www.*** very first lesson I gauge what is required and Tailor a plan to set the required work so that each student makes progress. Parents are kept informed of how each student progresses by means of a suitable communication method. During examination periods I make sure that students do the relevant exam questions.
Many students report their success after they have completed their studies. Many have gone onto successful careers in banking, medicine and Economics.

Hi! I'm a recent graduate of the University of Manchester with a first class masters degree in Physics with Theoretical Physics. I enjoy maths and physics academically, as well as helping others learn more about both! I believe that education should be accessible to everyone, and strive to ensure you get more than your money's worth with me.
I offer tutoring online across the UK, as well as in-person in the Harborne area of Birmingham. Online tutoring sessions can be recorded for you to refer back to for revision, and can be conducted through Zoom, Skype, or Discord.
As someone who recently went through the education system, I understand the importance of learning resources and practice questions. Because of this I offer resources to my students to both learn from and practice with at no extra cost. I believe a healthy discussion about topics helps us to understand where the pitfalls in our understanding are, and how we can go about fixing them.
I believe in putting the student first, and so I make myself available at all times to my students if they need guidance between sessions, or to request topics for the next session. I can also offer exam technique guidance, as well as marking past papers and providing feedback.
Ultimately, I listen to my tutees and encourage them to ask questions about anything!
