Students would have access to vast resources including a catalogue of at least 200 books full of techniques and past papers to help support and boost their education. Learners are offered a personalised tuition plan catered to their individual needs, goals and learning styles. WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOUR LESSONS With +10,000 hours teaching experience, you can expect a lot. Firstly, there is a free consultation so you can assess whether we make a good fit. All lessons are prepared in advance to make the best use of tuition time. Curriculum-aligned material is taught, learners’ understanding is checked systematically, misconceptions identified accurately and clear and direct feedback is provided. In doing so, knowledge gaps are identified and content repeated to plug gaps where appropriate and embed learning. Common errors are shared to help student prevent making them in their practice and in their exams. I use a collaborative, interactive, online whiteboard which is free and simple for my students to use: no holding aloft shaky notepads aimed at the webcam. This allows me to watch and check students' understanding in real time. Unlike other tutors, I do not use Zoom/Google Meet or Teams. I subscribe to a special educator platform which has been rated 5-star by its users. Using the `I Do, You Do, We Do` model, students are told what they need to know and how to do it, then we work on a task together to help student become more confident with new learning and finally student individually uses what they have been shown to demonstrate proficiency using practice questions or repeating back to me what they have learned. I love teaching and seeing where children come from and get too. They are like sponges and soak everything up. I am appreciative of different learning styles and adapt to them as required. I have a broad planning approach and lots of methods to make learning fun but also achievable. I enjoy working creatively with children and I am aware of the different mind friendly learning techniques that can be used to facilitate effective learning. I incorporate these techniques into my lessons. I believe that children need a firm foundation in basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to be able to flourish in other areas of the curriculum. I understand that continuity and progression in learning is vital and my planning and teaching reflect this.

I worked as a primary school teacher for 14 years and loved sharing the learning journey with the young people I taught. My approach is often playful – there is so much to be learnt using games and humour – and success relies on building relationships, agreeing goals and together working out how to reach them. Sometimes the goal might just be to travel forwards and enjoy the journey; at other times there may be a more specific target.
The best moments as a teacher are “the lightbulb moments” when something clicks in the learning and new connections are made. My goal is always to instil self-confidence in learners, to build positively on what they already know and can do, and to help them to believe that they can learn whatever they want to learn.
I am a qualified and experienced teacher. Although I have worked in secondary/ middle schools, the majority of my teaching has been in primary schools. I have worked in mainstream schools with a wide range of children. I have coordinated enrichment programmes for gifted and talented pupils. I have supported pupils preparing for grammar school exams. I have written and managed education plans for learners with dyslexia and dyscalculia, autistic spectrum conditions and other social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
As a class teacher, I taught across the spectrum of the National Curriculum, with particular focus on progress in Reading, Writing and Maths. As the school coordinator for the teaching and learning of English for many years, I rolled out various strategies to develop reading for pleasure and to make the learning of grammar and spelling fun, fun, fun! I am happy to offer each or all subjects - Maths, Eng, VR,NVR ,for many Grammer schools you do not need NVR. strong maths and Eng is definitely needed.
I do give reasonable home work to be submitted 3 /4 days after session and we go through it at the begging of next session and go on from there.
30 mint is ideal for 1 subject but initially we can take 3 subjects for 2 sessions so that student feel confident on that topic.
Making learning accessible, engaging and relevant is, in my opinion, fundamental to the success and the development of every child, supporting academic achievement and the nurturing of fully rounded individuals to be all they can be. For this to happen, I believe that our curriculum needs to be a relevant and rewarding experience; adapted to ensure inclusion and providing the opportunity to develop academically and personally while experiencing success and challenge on a day-to-day basis. It allows pupils to develop their confidence, self-esteem, organisation, and determination which they can transfer into other aspects of their lives. It is from this desire to do well and lead healthy lifestyles that further success can follow.
I have always had a passion for PE as a subject with many different aspects and opportunities for the wide range of children in the school to be challenged and to feel success. This has led me to opportunities to work beyond the school, something I think is crucial in order to reflect deeply on all aspects of teaching, learning and school leadership as well as to provide varied experiences for our children.
Throughout my career, I have valued strong pastoral systems in schools; I have experience at guiding pupils through the peaks and troughs that school life can afford. Key to this support is good communication - between school and parents/guardians, between different staff members and, where appropriate, with outside agencies. Ultimately, I want to ensure that every child has a successful educational experience in my class and throughout the school.
With previous experience in tutoring and teaching, each lesson will be different tailored to the needs and focuses of the individual. They will include a range of learning techniques, activities and questions. From personal experience I know no two people learn in the same way therefore I am very adaptable to teaching in several different ways to ensure success for each pupil.
Each lesson can consist of 1 hour or 2 hours. Before each lesson, I will prepare materials based on focuses discussed. During the lesson, we will start with a quiz to obtain the current level of understanding and knowledge, moving onto some teaching of concepts and theory. Then we will focus on some understanding and practice questions. Ending with another quiz and discussions of next lesson's focus as well as feedback to pupil and parents if desired.
I have previously done 11+ tutoring, volunteering to help children's reading skills, babysitting and working in a nursery. All those experiences have helped me obtain some valuable skills of understanding the process of learning and different learning techniques as well as the approach to teaching children. Organisation is also a key skill I have which will definitely be helpful in the role as a tutor. I have a genuine passion for helping children learn and be successful as I personally understand no two children learn the same and there need to be more varied approaches in teaching.
Learning isn't prescriptive; no one is stuck with just a 'Maths Brain' or an 'English Brain' - it's the way you learn these subjects that allows you to love them and truly excel. Through my individually tailored, engaging lessons, I've been able to help my students to really thrive, even in subjects they thought weren't 'for them'!
For two and a half years, I worked as a tutor and classroom assistant at my local tuition centre, teaching both English and Maths from children at a wide range of abilities, aged from 4-16. This experience taught me the importance of tailoring learning for each individual student. Large groups can often mean that some students get left behind; everyone learns at a different pace, favouring different methods. I've found that 1-1 tuition is the perfect solution, giving students more time to ask questions and truly understand a concept before moving on to the next.
For the last year, I have been offering online tuition and have taught a range of students from all age groups and ability levels in both English and Maths to great success! I have recently coached several students through their GCSE English exams and they made great improvements during their lessons with me. I am a 19 year-old student at the University of Birmingham, studying Philosophy, Religion and Ethics. During my A-levels, I worked at a Tuition Centre for ages 4-11+ for a year. I specialise in Maths and English for ages 4-15, 11+ and GCSE and A-level Religious Studies and A-level Psychology.
I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor, and have had previous experience tutoring 11+, as well as ancient languages. I have taught 11+ English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning for both the CSSE and CEM exam boards.
