My name is Johann and I have a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). I am a published nuclear astrophysicist with a PhD investigating X-ray bursts using nuclear science. Much of my work is based on mathematics (which I have a very strong background in) as well as data analysis which is done by means of programming (or coding). I am versed in Java and C++ with additional experience in Python as well. My bachelor's degree was a dual major in physics and chemistry and all of my degrees (including masters and Hons) were achieved cum laude (82% average).
I have been a tutor for first-year university physics students for two and a half years and I headed specialized tutor sessions for up to 20 students at a time that needed a greater amount of support.
