Although you don’t need any particular skills to get started, there are certainly qualities that can be useful if you want to become a bricklayer. Some of these include:

Prior knowledge and experience in construction

Ability to work well in a team. If you work on a construction site, chances are you’ll be working with a team, so the better you are at working with others, the easier it will be.

Patience. Bricklaying usually doesn’t happen in a day so it’s important to be able to take it one step at a time.

The ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Construction sites usually involve strict deadlines so you’ll have to be ready to work under pressure.

Being handy. Although this is something you can learn and get better at, it’ll certainly help you out in the beginning.
