Hi! I’m a 15 year old grammar school student and a muslim hijabi who is willing to teach children up to year 6. I can teach Maths, Verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning to prepare students for the 11+.
I love teaching and seeing where children come from and get too. They are like sponges and soak everything up. I am appreciative of different learning styles and adapt to them as required. I have a broad planning approach and lots of methods to make learning fun but also achievable. I have plenty of resources and methods that I use and feel comfortable adapting them to all levels of teaching. I have been tutoring since October 2023 for London schools entrance exams in 4+ and 7+.
I enjoy working creatively with children and I am aware of the different mind friendly learning techniques that can be used to facilitate effective learning. I incorporate these techniques into my lessons. I believe that children need a firm foundation in basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to be able to flourish in other areas of the curriculum. I worked as a primary school teacher for 14 years and loved sharing the learning journey with the young people I taught. My approach is often playful – there is so much to be learnt using games and humour – and success relies on building relationships, agreeing goals and together working out how to reach them. Sometimes the goal might just be to travel forwards and enjoy the journey; at other times there may be a more specific target.
The best moments as a teacher are “the lightbulb moments” when something clicks in the learning and new connections are made. I am a qualified and experienced teacher. Although I have worked in secondary/ middle schools, the majority of my teaching has been in primary schools. I have a lot of experience tutoring across various subject areas, from piano to GCSE sciences. I have adapted my lessons to suit various age groups perfectly and by doing this, I have developed many skills in communicating to a range of people with different levels of understanding clearly and concisely to get information across and help them in the best way possible, using a unique and individual approach to make them feel at ease and have the most positive experience they can.

I have always had a passion for PE as a subject with many different aspects and opportunities for the wide range of children in the school to be challenged and to feel success. With previous experience in tutoring and teaching, each lesson will be different tailored to the needs and focuses of the individual. They will include a range of learning techniques, activities and questions. From personal experience I know no two people learn in the same way therefore I am very adaptable to teaching in several different ways to ensure success for each pupil.
Each lesson can consist of 1 hour or 2 hours. Before each lesson, I will prepare materials based on focuses discussed. During the lesson, we will start with a quiz to obtain the current level of understanding and knowledge, moving onto some teaching of concepts and theory. Then we will focus on some understanding and practice questions. Ending with another quiz and discussions of next lesson's focus as well as feedback to pupil and parents if desired.
I have previously done 11+ tutoring, volunteering to help children's reading skills, babysitting and working in a nursery. All those experiences have helped me obtain some valuable skills of understanding the process of learning and different learning techniques as well as the approach to teaching children. Organisation is also a key skill I have which will definitely be helpful in the role as a tutor. I am happy to offer each or all subjects - Maths, Eng, VR,NVR ,for many Grammer schools you do not need NVR. strong maths and Eng is definitely needed.
I do give reasonable home work to be submitted 3 /4 days after session and we go through it at the begging of next session and go on from there.
30 mint is ideal for 1 subject but initially we can take 3 subjects for 2 sessions so that student feel confident on that topic.
Learning isn't prescriptive; no one is stuck with just a 'Maths Brain' or an 'English Brain' - it's the way you learn these subjects that allows you to love them and truly excel. Through my individually tailored, engaging lessons, I've been able to help my students to really thrive, even in subjects they thought weren't 'for them'!
For two and a half years, I worked as a tutor and classroom assistant at my local tuition centre, teaching both English and Maths from children at a wide range of abilities, aged from 4-16. This experience taught me the importance of tailoring learning for each individual student. Large groups can often mean that some students get left behind; everyone learns at a different pace, favouring different methods. I've found that 1-1 tuition is the perfect solution, giving students more time to ask questions and truly understand a concept before moving on to the next.

I am a 19 year-old student at the University of Birmingham, studying Philosophy, Religion and Ethics. During my A-levels, I worked at a Tuition Centre for ages 4-11+ for a year. I specialise in Maths and English for ages 4-15, 11+ and GCSE and A-level Religious Studies and A-level Psychology.
I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor, and have had previous experience tutoring 11+, as well as ancient languages. I have taught 11+ English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning for both the CSSE and CEM exam boards.
As someone who learned both Latin and Ancient Greek ab initio as part of my university degree and is now proficient in both, I feel I am able to confidently teach the skills that enabled me to learn these languages to students of any but the most advanced level. For over twenty years I was an English/French teacher to students between the ages of 3 to 19.
I also have over thirty years of experience in teaching English, French, Romanian, Mathematics and Physics in private. The objectives varied from reaching higher level of achievement (facilitating the admission to elite schools, higher educational programs or award of scholarships) to getting better school results, feeling more confident, developping academic and social skills.
