Initially i spent many years working in the Agricultural, and Horticultural sector, while i finished my agricultural degree. I worked with both animals, and arable systems, as well as glass houses, and setting up plant trials.
After completing my PGCE certificate in Land based (FE) studies, i spent the last 14 years teaching in mainly land based colleges, teaching on a number of level 1, 2 and 3 agriculture/ horticulture and animal care courses. Both planning classroom based hteory lessons, looking at Biology, and production systems. as well as ecology and nutrition.
I also planned outdoor sessions, that included lambing. Sheep practical classes. planting classes, and plant ID. Animal care and Structure maintenance, and some tractor driving and maintenance.
More recently since i have been travelling overseas. I have been teaching one to one english classes, including conversation, and grammar, to spanish speaking students.
