Dr Atamgba Asuk is an accomplished university teacher with a rich interdisciplinary academic experience in Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition as well as Chemistry. He has taught various aspects of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition, and Chemistry (both inorganic and organic). With over a decade of teaching and research, he has worked in various university environments, both public and private, across Nigeria and Uganda. Dr Asuk is known for his participatory teaching approach and effective use of various analytical tools. He has been an External Examiner both at the ordinary level (O-level)and university level. He also has significant industrial experience in vegetable oil and oily waste servicing industries, working in various capacities from Research and Development Chemist, overseeing the quality control unit to a Lead / Senior Operator of a Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) plant used for the remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated oily wastes. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr Asuk has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends. |
