I am a certified German language teacher. For a long time I lived in Germany and studied at a German language school. I prepare students for passing the exams: Goethe Zertifikat (A1-C2), TestDaf, Telc (A1-C2), DSH.
With seven years' experience of teaching and tutoring Classics in a variety of contexts, I am a kind and knowledgeable tutor, who sets high standards of her tutees. I tailor my tuition to each individual person's needs and interests, making learning interesting, challenging and fun.

I have been tutoring individual pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities for nearly a decade now. I have also been teaching GCSE, A-Level, and Year 9 history since 2013-14, and have an outstanding track record in terms of results. Approximately 90% of the students I have taught at GCSE level have achieved a 7-9 grade, and I have had pupils achieve places at Oxbridge to read History within the last two years. I have excellent technical knowledge of exam preparation and essay or source paper questions, and am especially familiar with content involving the crusades (1099-1204), Russia 1894-1924, International Relations 1919-1990, and Germany 1918-45. That being said, I am willing to work on content from any time period, and with pupils of any ability or age level. My particular strength lies in the passion that I have for my subject, and my primary aim is to inspire pupils with a love for the subject.
Outside of the classroom I have led or been involved with student trips to Berlin, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the battlefields of France and Belgium. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.
I have been in education in the UK for over 12 years now. I have always taught English and am currently working in senior leadership in a school in the UK. I enjoy using my QTS to help people learn new skills which will enhance their lives. This may be to improve their ability in maths., their employment prospects or their ICT skills. In all cases, the teaching I provide may improve their quality of life.
My teaching philosophy is to try to spark interest in learners whilst retaining a clear goal: whether that be exam. success or a less formal, personal achievement. My substantial experience has been gained by working with primary, secondary school pupils and adults.
