My approach to tutoring is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every student has a unique learning style and pace, and I work to create a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and development. I am patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities. With extensive experience in tutoring for SATS, GCSE, A-Level and entrance exams such as 7+, 11+, and 13+, I have a deep understanding of the skills and knowledge required for success in these exams. I am skilled at identifying areas of weakness and developing strategies to overcome them, and I work closely with students and their families to create a personalised plan for success. Whether students need help with specific subjects or are looking for more general support and guidance, I am here to help. Registered tutor for biology, chemistry, physics, English language, and English literature at all levels up to A-Level, offering support with personal statements, essay/academic writing, and primary maths, SATS and all primary subjects. I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. TEACHING: My goal is to help students understand the content, stay engaged and ensure they enjoy their lessons whilst pushing them to their best. I found through my own revision that learning what type of learner you are is one of the most helpful attributes to revision, which is something I would assist with. Additionally, I want to keep students motivated through their long years of studying as it is a long process and to get the higher grades consistency is key.
LESSON STRUCTURE: A typical length of lesson would typically be an 1hr long. The first half of lesson would be going through a topic which the student is struggling to comprehend or to learn new content keeping the student ahead in school. Then using a range of exam questions to further their understanding of the subject area, progressing from their as needed as every student is different lessons would be tailored towards them.

I am a first year law student currently studying at Sheffield university. Having achieved A*-B GCSE's and A*AB at A-Level, A* in Geography, I am very hardworking and very detail accumented which I will therefore bring to the lessons creating lesson plans and case studies in preparation. As well, I will pre-prepare exam questions to ensure the maximum amount of information is retained from the hour.
Aside from education background I enjoy playing a variety of sports such as cricket and football, watching movies, listening to music which will allow me to keep the flow of the lesson ongoing and preventing any awkwardness throughout the learning.

I have a PhD in mathematics as well as a BSc and MSc. I have qualified teacher status (PGCE University of Warwick), I have AST (Advanced Skills teacher) status, and other nationally recognised teaching qualifications (NPQSL and NPQLTD). All my previous students have made significant progress (a recent example is a student who progressed from a U at AS Level to a grade B in 4 months at 2 hours per week).
