Hi. My name is Sean O. and I am a fully qualified maths tutor and teacher with a master’s degree in mathematics and a PGCE from the University of Nottingham. I offer one to one private tuition for students of mathematics from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level Further maths and occasionally teach Primary as well.
I completed my PGCE in secondary mathematics in 2021 and secured a full time position at the OFSTED Outstanding school, George Spencer Academy, Nottingham. A former full time fully qualified secondary school teacher with extensive experience teaching privately, at top London secondary schools and at university level lasting over 10 years. I have a true passion for the subject which is why I gave up research to share the true beauty of the subject with younger minds.
I rely heavily on helping children visualise problems, using computerised simulations if necessary. I will always give a child the chance to work out a problem them themselves starting with simple examples and building on them.
