Hi my name is Ethan and I am a geography tutor for KS3 KS4 and GCSE Geography Based in Nottinghamshire UK but can teach online anywhere in the UK.
As a current student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Geography at Loughborough University, I am deeply passionate about this field and eager to share my knowledge with others.
Geography has always fascinated me due to its unique blend of physical landscapes, human cultures, and the interactions between them. Throughout my studies, I have developed a solid understanding of various geographical concepts, including cartography, climatology, urban planning, and environmental sustainability. My academic journey has not only equipped me with theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and spatial analysis.
The reason I want to become a geography tutor is twofold. Firstly, I believe that teaching is a powerful way to reinforce my own learning while helping others succeed. By explaining complex concepts in simple terms, I can deepen my understanding and retain information more effectively. Secondly, I am passionate about inspiring others to appreciate the importance of geography. It is a subject that influences many aspects of our daily lives, from the environment to global politics, and I want to help students recognize its relevance and applications.
Moreover, I have always enjoyed mentoring and assisting my peers with their studies. My experiences in collaborative projects and study groups have honed my ability to communicate effectively and adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles. I am confident that my enthusiasm for geography, combined with my dedication to helping others, will make me an effective and engaging tutor.

I have had plenty of experience tutoring younger girls at school and have clear an effective communicative skills, along with an enthusiastic attitude and a passion for learning.
3 A's at A-Level, studying Accounting and Business at University of Nottingham. As a final year university student I'm aware of how busy revision can get and I'm passionate about helping young people achieve the grades they know they are capable of.
I would love to help other children going through GCSE's and SAT's and to boost their confidence. I hope to make children realise that with the right mindset, one that they realise if they work hard, they can do it and achieve good results. As someone who has just finished their GCSE's, the subjects are very much fresh in my mind. I would love to use any tips and tricks in which I have been taught that may differ to any others they have been given and to help them understand more.
I have had experience working in primary schools for almost two years now, working with children with SEND and SEMH difficulties as well as other children to help them achieve their full academic potential. I have delivered 1:1 and small group based interventions in age ranges from 4 years old in their early years all the way up to 11 in the run up to SATs. I have spent a lot of time working with children who had the academic level of several years below their age group however after sometime of 1:1 intervention they have thrived and caught up with their peers. Not only have I worked with children for their academics but I have also worked with children to help give them the opportunity to learn self regulation and mental health support. This has come from a wide range of support programmes such as zones of regulation and social detective. I pride myself on how fun and engaging I like to make my time with children and with how much of a difference emotion coaching can make to their lives. In the run up to SATS I worked in delivering intervention based lessons to our cusp students to help them go on to achieve greater depth in their SATs but also to help children who believed they couldn’t do their SATs.
