I am an experienced tutor who has been teaching English to students for over ten years. I specialise in KS3 and GCSE however also have many KS2 and A-Level students, too. I am very familiar with the different exam boards, specifically Edexcel, AQA and OCR. I an NTP qualified tutor with a fully enhanced DBS. I work closely with various agencies and councils, and local high schools in Nottingham, tutoring students individually and in groups. I also work with students with additional needs, from learning diabilities to behavioural challenges.
I am passionate about reading and writing. I aim to encourage students to strive for their best, to gain a deeper understanding of texts and to improve their writing skills so that their confidence flourishes.
I run various creative writing groups for different ages, and also offer intensive week long tuition for students who need to catch up in specific areas.

I have a strong and deep knowledge of english literature and politics. In my politics A-level, I receieved a strong A whilst I got a B in English Literature, one mark off an A. At GCSE level, i got a 9 in English Lang and an 8 in English lit; overall, I earned five 9's, four 8's, and a 6 in German. I have a passion for novels and cultural affairs, meaning i can effectively tutor either english lit or politics. Experienced as a tutor with various age groups. Have worked with as young as Year 5 and as old as Yr 11. Now that I am studying my Economics and Finance degree at Loughborough University, I'm hoping to extend my teaching skills to A level students as well.
