I am the Head of Sixth Form at my school. Previously, I have served as Head of Biology. I am a specialist at A Level Biology for both Yr 12s and Yr 13s and I am a specialist for Triple or Combined higher for all science up to GCSE. I am very experienced at teaching KS3 & KS4 Science at all levels. I teach the AQA board, however I have many students I tutor who do the OCR, EDEXCEL, IGCSE, Cambridge Assessment and other boards too. 60 minute sessions with my 3 R's teaching techniques:
1. Recap- This includes a nut-shell overview of the content the student has covered & opportunities to resolve any misconceptions.

3. Reverse Teaching- The student explains a concept to me in their own words.
My 3 R technique is the most effective approach to learning & teaching. Throughout my lessons I motivate, encourage and create a comfortable learning space for the student to continuously thrive in.

I am an enthusiastic fourth year dental student studying at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (QMUL). I am a hard working individual and received three A*s in A-level biology, chemistry and economics. Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
