My teaching approach ensures that content is carefully broken down into manageable sections, with enough time left for practice questions to reinforce learning and build confidence.
I have experience teaching students in KS2 Maths and English and currently hold a small teaching assistant role where I assist KS3 Humanities students and GCSE History students. I teach the following options for GCSE History: Conflict and Tensions between East and West, Democracy and Nazism, Elizabethan England, and Migration, Empires, and the People.
In this role, I focus on adapting to individual learning styles and building student confidence. I work closely with students to reinforce their understanding of key concepts, provide targeted support, and encourage active engagement with the material.
My approach emphasizes patience, adaptability, and fostering a positive learning environment. By tailoring support to each student's needs, I aim to help them develop not only academic skills but also self-assurance in their abilities. This experience has deepened my commitment to education and enhanced my understanding of effective teaching strategies.
In terms of qualifications, I hold Grade 8 in English Language and Literature GCSE, Grade 9 in Maths GCSE, and an A in both A-level History and A-level Sociology. Currently, I am studying for an Open University degree in History, which continues to broaden my subject knowledge and research skills. |
